California Labor Federation & Teachers Association Back Tom Pratt for State Senate

Murphys, CA...Vallecito Union School Board Member, local businessman and community leader Tom Pratt announced today that he has earned the support of the California Labor Federation and the California Teachers Association in his campaign for the 8th Senate district. The California Labor Federation is composed of over 1200 unions, which represent over 2 million members in the manufacturing, retail, construction, hospitality, public sector, health care, entertainment and other sectors.

The California Teachers Association (CTA) represents over 325,000 members from California's public schools and colleges, including teachers, counselors, psychologists, librarians, Education Support Professionals and non-supervisory certified personnel. The CTA advocates for students and public education.

With parents who never graduated college but always provided their children with the opportunity to succeed, Tom has demonstrated a strong commitment throughout his career to education, hard work and civic duty. As a Vallecito Union School Board Member, Tom has focused on improving student achievement, attracting and attaining quality teachers and providing early childhood and family support initiatives, while responsibly managing the district's budget.

Tom is also a successful business leader who believes in supporting employees with good wages and high quality benefits for their hard work. Tom has made a successful career in the insurance industry and taken on unexpected challenges, such as working to insure US embassies across the world after 9/11 and most recently to secure coverage for California residents who continue to lose their homeowners insurance due to fire risk. He moved to Murphys in 2008 to help care for his mother during her final weeks of terminal brain cancer. There, he met his wife Kimberly, got married and started a family. Tom's life experience and values inspired him to run for school board, and today for the California State Senate.

Tom has also secured the endorsement of the California Democratic Party, State Controller Betty Yee, State Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones and community members around the district.

You can follow Tom's campaign at www.TomPratt.org and on Facebook and Twitter.

If State Senate Leader Pro Tem Kevin de Leon is endorsing Pratt, he must be a hard left white hating gun grabbing open borders commie.
KdL is dumber than a box of rocks.

It's time for you to just move away. Hate california so much and the majority of Californian views, voters, policies and its population; just stop crying and whining, you've simply become a minority, a dying breed that has lost control of the old. Get over it or go away, cry baby. Love it or leave it right? Jesus, boo hoo and I want my mommy.

No it is people like you that has made the whole U.S.A. hate our state. It is you who are a minority. You need to be thrown across the border, or dropped out at sea for the sharks. When all others talk about our state, they are talking about you.
