Failure To Stay In Their Lane Leads to Further Charges For Modesto Women
Jamestown, RD...From the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Dept....Bad driving leads to more serious charges for two Modesto women. Late Wednesday night, a Sheriff’s Deputy pulled over a silver Toyota sedan on Chicken Ranch Road in Jamestown after witnessing the vehicle swerve into the opposing lane.
Deputies spoke with driver, 53-year-old Kelly Schriver and passenger 31-year-old Ashly Schriver. A records checked showed Ashly had a warrant for drug possession and Kelly was a convicted felon. Ashly handed over a methamphetamine pipe she had on her and 80 new plastic baggies and mace was found in Kelly’s purse during a search of the vehicle. Kelly was also found in possession of a methamphetamine pipe and 8.36 grams of methamphetamine she had hidden on her. Kelly admitted to selling the drug and furnishing it to Ashly.
Both women were arrested and booked into the Tuolumne County Jail.
Kelly was booked on charges of possession and transportation of a controlled substance for sale, possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, felon in possession of pepper spray, and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.
In addition to her drug possession warrant, Ashly was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
