Hospital Awards Grant Funds to Youth Programs
San Andreas, CA...Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital recently announced the awards for their 2007 Endowment for Youth Program. Each year the hospital’s Thrift Stores provide funding opportunities for not-for-profit Calaveras County projects that provide services to children ages 0-18. For this funding period, $34,426 was awarded to 62 local organizations to support their youth programs.....
"Did you know…the Hospital Foundation recently announced a campaign in support of Women's Health to purchase digital mammography technology."
“We are very pleased to once again provide funding to support their organization’s mission” said Thrift Store manager Diana Rodrigues. “This year we once again were able to increase the funding amount and the number of awardees. It is heartwarming to review the projects which provide resources and direction for our county’s youth.” The Endowment for Youth Program was developed as part of the mission of the Angels Camp and Valley Springs Thrift Stores to support the youth of Calaveras County.
Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital is a not-for-profit, 48-bed general acute care hospital serving all of Calaveras County. Established in 1951 as Mark Twain District Hospital and centrally located in San Andreas, the hospital is partnered with Catholic Healthcare West to further strengthen this rural hospital to meet future community needs. The hospital is supported by 45 active physicians practicing in 24 specialties.
