Agree. Bought and paid for by wealthy agriculture interests.

Plus some such as Nunes are enablers of Trump's lawlessness.

If you agree, please do more than post on thepinetree. Look up the campaign websites of the Democratic opposition and send them whatever you can afford. $20.00 matters.

So send money to all the Republicans running for reelection and any new Republican on the ballot? I've worked my entire adult life, so why not? It sure would be wiser doing that instead of letting the democrats take any type of office. It's not like the Republicans need the money, the last election 8 out of 9 officials that President Trump asked voters to elect won anyway. People are sick and tired of the democrats way.

I'm not sure what is the worst water grab? The farmers who this letter is for grow crops that are sold for high dollars in other countries with our water. (Nuts, Wine, Strawberries in containers like egg cartons individually wrapped in gold foil. etc.) Or the people in Southern California and the coasts with their pools, private back yard orchards, lawns. And all the endless building in areas without enough water.

Meanwhile all the local water districts have $$$ signs in their eyes to get the water here sold somewhere else. Most everything in the produce isle is grown in Mexico. Covered with some sickness that will ruin your internal organs and have you sitting on the toilet with a bucket in your lap. Good luck affording the medical coverage. If you are even allowed the water to grow something to eat in your back yard, the cost of that water will most likely stop you from doing so.

Speaking of chit, you ever notice that all the dope growers are democrats?
Fun Facts ~ Did you know that 85% of violent felons in our federal prisons who 'were' registered AMERICAN voters, are democrats? (once convicted, democrats lose another fine upstanding voter)
Fun Facts (#2) White Collar crimes ( for the idiots who commit blue collar crimes.... 'democrats'.... this means financially motivated, "nonviolent" crimes) a larger percentage are committed by Republicans and Liberals. In other words they steal money, and are not the gang bangers, drug dealers, strong arm robbers, rapist, and murderers that the democrats are likely to be. You know who I'm talking about, the criminals who shoot people.
So remember to vote this November, preferably Republican so we can keep the scum out of office and keep America growing at this great pace under our President now in office.

I once managed family property in the Central Valley that was paid NOT to grow cotton because the market was saturated. Any motivated individual would choose to grow something else but, no, this was what many were doing. So, for a couple of years while completing a degree, I made the garden pretty, grew hay and kept down the weeds. Grateful to have had a place to live while commuting to school yet knew this isn't how economics is supposed to work, even at such a tender young age. These practices continue today. This, my friends, is where the GOP and Big Ag interests lie.

Letter for keeping our water

I’m so glad that Tom McClintock, Jeff Denham and Mr. Zinke came to California. The letter they’ve written is amazing. For once we have people pulling for us to keep our water. If the California Water Resources tries to steal our water I hope the book is thrown at them.
Why can’t people see we actually have people on our side?

Why is it you are so uneducated as to the history of our foothill communities? The valley was a great wetland where no one could live. Man filled the wetlands in the valley and put in levees to direct it into rivers and built structures on the fill. The foothills and their micro climates provided the farmed food to feed people.

We could again have that food here. But the water districts now in place took away our flumes of raw water to farm. We need them back (now a pipe line that can be accessed) so that healthy local food can be grown here. Once healthy food is again produced here we would have a flood of people who would use it in business (restaurants) and road side stands. The foothills would again be green and beautiful with healthy food being grown here. There would be many road side stands to supply our food grown by our neighbors. We would no longer have to be dependent on Mexico to grow our food.

We are not being represented by this action above! It is about the valley getting the water not us. There is nothing in this to keep the water here for our benefit. It is all about getting the water to the valley farmers by holding it in the reservoirs for the giant corporate farmers in the valley to produce high dollar crops for other countries. Our actual food of salad greens and vegetables are produced in Mexico. The corporate farmers are not interested in producing the food we actually need to be a self sufficient nation.

Who would not want abundant locally produced healthy food? What tourist coming for our recreation and beautiful countryside would not like to dine at a local restaurant with an awesome chef preparing it into a healthy dish. We need to demand and use our source water resources or we will loose them to others below us that could care less about us or our communities.

See how democrats talk? Always swearing like 15 year old
uneducated criminals and drug users. Not being able to have a
meaningful discussion or debate? Rather disgusting, sadly many of
us are use to it because it's an everyday occurrence.
We should all pray that they still have a chance to educate them-
selves when they're arrested for the future violent crime they
will commit. As they sit in their prison cell that the working person
pays for, through their taxes, maybe through boredom the democrat will seek
help or pick up a Dr Seuss book and s s stutter but start to enjoy
          reading and further his education.

I commented earlier about being paid not to grow in the Central Valley. This is not about your foothills water; this is about career politicians taking care of their Central Valley political base - farmers who see themselves as the heartland when in reality most of the farms are now large and owned outright by big conglomerates like Kellogg's, They don't give a flying fig about this area.

As another has mentioned, you need to research the true history of water in CA. There was once a lake so vast in the Central Valley - Tule Lake - it was said the skies blackened from bird migration. An entire Indian nation was built around that lake and its environment. Sadly, a cotton farmer from the south paid off CA politicians of long ago, drained it and it became much of that ag land you see today. The history of CA has always been about change and the water you think you fight for today has gone through many transformations.

All of you so called "Water Experts". Are a bunch of know nothing's! Are you enraged that everything you buy has been produced by CORPORATIONS that could care less about you! You talk about corporate farming as though it is harmful, move into the 21 st century, the old family farms of 20 acres doesn't produce a living for any family! Next point, Tule Lake isn't in the Central Valley, try the Lake gone dry down in the Fesno region, was the 2nd biggest Lake in the United States, but wasn't very deep! Thirdly, anyone that thinks you can raise enough food in the foothills to feed California or the World is delusional! Take a ride down hiway 99 and see what is going on in California AG before making your uneducated comments, cut across hiway 41 to hiway 198, and see the AG that feeds you and I! You people are so ignorant about AG, thinking a pot farm is ag! Enough riding corporate America, your banks are corporate, your car companies are corporate, on and on it goes!
