Sonora, CA...We're in! Join us for an informational session, meet and greet, and of course discussion on how to best comment on the proposed alternative from the Stanislaus National Forest. We bring the maps, Standard Pour supplies the food and drink, and you bring your own awesome self! See you there!
Did you know that over 80% of the high alpine terrain in the Sierra Nevada Mountains is currently closed to snowmobiles? Five of the The National Forests in California are developing over snow vehicle (OSV) travel management plans as a result of lawsuits from anti-snowmobile groups. Check the tabs for each forest. The Stanislaus NF is currently accepting comments on proposals that could close 84% of the forest permanently to snowmobiles. We’re currently digging through the details, so check back soon to find out more, and to keep access open to your favorite snowmobile and sled-ski areas before it’s gone forever.
