It had to be Amanda or Melissa. They’re the only qualified candidates.
And DEAR GOD, please not Mike. He’s a kind and wonderful person, and I genuinely like him very much, but his answers were vague, off-topic, and show he doesn’t have the skills or background to hold this position.

Women have always had the power. They have everything most men want. Men will even go to war to prove themselves worthy of a little time with the women of their choice.

Yes women do, unless we smell a strong v@g&*@! odor — for
instance, a "fishy" smell — might be abnormal and could indicate
a problem, a really, really, big, nasty problem.
Take a whiff, or he won't get stiff.
      Give a hoot, don't pollute.
If it smells like fish its a dish
If it smells like cologne leave it alone.

Good morning folks. Please excuse me for not commenting on topic. Question, about the candidates for
SHERIFF DEPT Rick or Gary?
I just got an election campaign letter from Gary's headquarters, sounds impressive until until he
started to sling mud at his opponent. And I haven't seen much reading material on Rick. It really
upset me when candidates start doing that. I've been somewhat bad in not following this more closely.
Any opinions from you folks would be nice, minus the whining & crying about Trump being a racist a
bigot, and egotistical blow hard. Clinton being incompetent as Secretary of State, Benghazi, a serial liar, her husband a
sexual predator and rapist. I guess I nailed that. Anyway???

If you want a redneck nazi, vote stevens. If you want someone who will do the best job, vote Rick.

I just read the letter that was sent out. I don’t care for the mud slinging either however, it is important to point out the failures of ones opponent. Rick D has had his chance to show what kind of a job he is capable of and it isn’t good. Gary is our other option. He should be given a chance to prove what he can do.

Every person in the county must ask what type of person do they want sitting in the job of sheriff. It's not about who do you 'like'.
Currently the morale in the SO is good. Rick is a team member as well as an administrator.
Staffing levels in the team are improving. Young cadets are completing the academy and starting their work for the county.
CCSO just received an award from some law enforcement agency for its accomplishments, in particular related to the drug issues of CC. A first!

Now to Gary S. He was with the CCSO previously? Ask him why he left. I'll bet he says it was because they recruited him. Note: He was turned down for a promotion and soon after left the CCSO. Then he left Amador. Ask him why he left. Note: He was (apparently) turned down for a promotion before he turned in his resignation.

Why does Gary S revert to a smear campaign? Is it because Rick is doing the job and thus there is no fault to be found that is within Rick's control? Gary S says morale is low because wages are low. Have any of you noted how many BoS meetings Rick has attended where he has asked for better wages for county law enforcement? Staff wages are not controlled by the Sheriff, and Gary S knows this but he's used it against Rick.

My vote goes with Rick. He's done an excellent job with what the County is willing to give him. He's taken on the auditor, the BoS, everyone he can if it benefits the SO staff and thus the county residents.
