While poor steven r smith and his master alice montgomery can both comfort one another behind his roommates woodshed.
Oh what sweet irony.. two fools. But wait she says shes a tree hugger progressive but takes compliments from a hateful racist drug dealer in the same. Makes sense right? And eggs on lunatics like gina gonzalez lard ass to file empty lawsuits. Sounds like Donald Trump to me. Twisted and fake.

So now since Merita and Ben are in, we need to have a vote by the people to see if they want cultivation back in our county or not. From what I gather most of the good citizens here still don't want cannabis cultivation here! Let's do things the REAL American way!

That's a fantasy. Calaveras didn't have the staff or resources to properly regulate this the first time. Why should we allow the county to conduct this experiment on us again?

Second, the growers by and large failed to comply with the regulations. Why should we again trust them?

Hopefully the BOS will never be so stupid as to go back down that road.

                  Sorry, I'm not Alice.

Just saying, the idea of "well regulated" is an impossible fantasy for our county. We're better off forgetting commercial cannabis and just letting people grow their 6 plants.

I doubt people will grow their 6 plants. According to the sheriff there are hundreds of large scale growers around. Whether there is regulation, this is not going away. With regulation at least there is funding for enforcement and eradication and implementation of robust oversight of the farms activities. Without, much of the limitejd county resources will be allocated to eradication efforts year after year which amounts very little in way of finding a viable solution. We cant afford to continue to fight cultivation as if it an opioid epedicmic. We are throwing away an immense amount of funds, time, and energy to enforce what amounts to civil issue, similar to a house with junk.

Nobody gives a hoot if people are growing a couple plants. If you are out in the boonies with no one around, maybe grow a few more than that. That is how it used to be.
The only people who want commercial grows all over the place are the growers themselves. And of course the outside of the county interests who ultimately make the real dough of the farms here.
