Hey Good People!! Fresh Bear Valley Snow on the Way! Come Up & Play!! ~ Mattly Trent

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Things are ramping up for today as the current storm system approaches. It’s 31F at 5am and stars can still be seen outside currently. Timing of the approaching system looks to be around 9am or so then winds will kick in out of the South from 20-30mph with gusts into the 40’s. With wind values in excess of 20mph through this storm cycle please dress appropriately. 10-16″ of new snow could fall today and those totals surely will seem higher in some aspects of the Mtn caused by wind loading. Tonight 10-14″ is expected and will continue with another 6-10″ during the day Sunday and 10-14″ Sunday night before rounding out with 1-3″ on Monday as the storm heads East. The lull slated for late Monday into Wednesday has now turned into snow showers and snow through the week so we’ve got that going for us. Cold air initially will have snow levels around 6K and dropping to around 3500′ by Sunday and the warm tail of the system is now starting to stay a bit colder so rain is now out of the mix. I’ve been talking about the storm door opening for January around the 6th and well, things are looking good. As always, we’re about “Pure Mtn Fun”.

Saturday
Snow, mainly after 10am. High near 34. Breezy, with a south wind 23 to 26 mph, with gusts as high as 43 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 10 to 16 inches possible.

Saturday Night
Snow showers. Low around 25. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 21 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph. Chance
of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 10 to 14 inches possible.

Peace Out,

Mattly
