Hey Good People!! It’s Time For Some Skiing/Riding My Friends, Enjoy Some “Pure Mtn Fun”

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! As the storm front moves onshore this morning we will see surface pressure gradients at their strongest during the initial arrival so winds will be in the upper 20’s sustained and gusts will reach into the 40’s. The windy conditions will last into the evening and subside Monday morning as the system heads East at that time. The focus will be the snowfall associated with this Pacific front as today we could see up to 16″ fall today and another 12-18″ tonight!!!!! The model runs are still wavering a bit so the totals could be a bit more for tonight. The snowfall elevations will start out a bit high near pass levels then drop by the afternoon to 6000′ and falling to 4000′ later tonight. Monday the trough will sit over the Great Basin so a few inside sliders may produce but that chance is relatively small at this time. This is a classic January snowfall pattern for us and It’s time for some skiing/riding my friends so come on up and enjoy some “Pure Mtn Fun”.

Sunday
Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 37. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 22 to 26 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 10 to 16 inches possible.

Sunday Night
Snow before 10pm, then snow showers, mainly between 10pm and 4am. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 25. Windy, with a southwest wind 21 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 12 to 18 inches possible.

Peace Out,

Mattly
