Arnold, CA...Road Condition & Chain Control Updates for Hwys 4, 26, 49, 88, 108 & 120. Closures on Hwy 88 have the Kirkwood area as an island. Hwy 88 is closed at the Carson Spur area before Kirkwood on the west and at the Carson Pass Summit area to the east. Chains are required on Hwy 4 from 4.5 miles east of Arnold. Hwy 26 remains closed from Glencoe to West Point due to mudslide repairs. On Hwy 108 you will need to engage the 4wd 1 mile past Long Barn to get up to Dodge Ridge.     You need to read up on 'Global Warming' or 'Climate Change' how warmer climate works.
    What's funny is with chain control the speed limit is 25 mph. Our local law enforcement can make a killing enforcing that speed limit and I wish they would
