Calaveras Sheriff's Dept Eradicates Another Marijuana Grow

Mountain Ranch CA...On 3/14/2019 the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team served a search warrant for illegal marijuana cultivation at a residence in the 8000 block of Cave City Road, Mountain Ranch. During the service of the search warrant an elaborate indoor marijuana operation was located. The marijuana plants were in varying stages of maturity. There were 1985 marijuana plants growing within the main house which had been converted into several individual growing rooms. Investigators located a large commercial sized generator inside a structure built next to the main house.

The marijuana grow was eradicated and County Code Enforcement responded for multiple code violations including unpermitted electrical work. Huiyang Cen (Mountain Ranch) a 39 year old male was arrested on scene and booked in to the Calaveras County Jail on charges of 11366H&S-Maintaining a Drug House, 11359 H&S-Possession of Marijuana For Sale, 182(a)(1)PC-Criminal Conspiracy, and 11358(c)H&S-Illegal Marijuana Cultivation. He was booked into the Calaveras County Jail with bail set at $100,000.00. This investigation is ongoing.

The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with information on potentially illegal marijuana cultivation sites or sites manufacturing concentrated cannabis to call the Sheriff’s Marijuana Tip Line at (209) 754-6870.
