Widespread Cell & Landline Phone Outages

Sonora, CA...From the Tuolumne Sheriff's Dept...."Shortly after 1:00 am, Tuolumne County and City of Sonora experienced widespread cell and landline outages. Most City and County residential 9-1-1 landlines appear to be working but emergency calls are being routed through the Police Department at this time due to a temporary failure with the answering points. The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office and Sonora Police Department have established communications with other local agencies and service to the community should not be interrupted.

If you need assistance from either agency, you may utilize the 9-1-1 system to contact us. We recommend locating a landline for emergency calls to ensure a better connection.

209-533-5859 and 209-533-5813 are alternate numbers to reach the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office.

For Cal Fire 911 calls dial 209-770-7081 or 209-770-7086 and the Non emergency line is 209-770-7084.

AT&T is aware of the issue and is working to identify the problem. AT&T has not been able to provide an anticipated time of repair.

As soon as alternate non emergency lines are established we will forward those to you.
