Randy Morris Is Missing, Have You Seen Him...(Update....Found Safe)

Sonora, CA...(Update...Found Safe) Randy became lost on his way back from a lookout trail at the top of Mt. Elizabeth Road. Just a bit ago he wandered onto Italian Bar Road and flagged down a passerby. He told the woman he was lost and she drove him to the Search and Rescue team who were nearly 4 miles away. Randy was in good health aside from some cramping and being tired and hungry. The Search and Rescue team gave him some water and a bite to eat. Thank you to everyone for sharing this post and a great big thank you to the Good Samaritan that brought Randy to us.

We urge anyone who is planning to venture out to tell someone your plan and when you are expecting to return. If you become lost this gives the Search team a point of reference to start looking. Even if you are going a short distance, prepare yourself with food, water, appropriate clothing and maps. This is 62-year-old Randy Morris. He went for a hike alone this morning in the Mt. Elizabeth area off of Joaquin Gully in Twain Harte. Randy was supposed to meet a friend back at his car at 9:30 this morning but never showed. Randy is 5’9” tall and was last seen wearing a jacket and a brown hat. His picture is included below.

Please contact or office if you have seen Randy or have any information regarding his whereabouts.
