Well that's all good! Angels Camp needs to progress. Hey-how about more discussion on sidewalks all the way through town especially for the rest of south and North Main from downtown up to city limit? And lets forget all about dispensaries and cultivation in town cause it ain't gonna happen!

Calaveras has already missed the boat on that revenue opportunity, whether you want it or not. A short drive to many towns and cities with dispensaries and it is legal to transport to one's own community, even one with a ban.

Think you got the cart going before the horse. Why on earth would one create new sidewalks and other infrastructure in front of building that are falling down, some even condemned? Time for the city to get serious about going after the slum landlords who claim poverty.

Actually there are propetries on most of Main Street upper part in which the buildings and such are far enough from the street that it is feasible. I really can't think of any so called slumlords except maybe a couple downtown and the sidewalks are already there. I know there are some sections sporadically of already built sidewalks, i.e., in front of Save Mart and the new Dollar General so I really don't know what areas you are talking about. I know that on some areas of South Main south of downtown it just wouldn't be feasible because of the topography and the way some dwellings are sitting so close to the street-except maybe around Centennial road and the car wash by the city limits? I know there is also a small footpath/sidewalk for a bit on the uphill side along northbound S. Main Street. I think that is the area where that poor little John guy supposedly lost his balance; hence, a fatal accident happened and he's no longer with us-RIP John. No one's fault just one of those freak accidents. I also realize that the city of Angels streets were laid out in the horse and buggy days-more like trails and also following the topography. It will always be like that and along with a lot of side streets where sidewalks can't be an option. Thank you

The original poster spoke about downtown. I assumed that meant old Angels and that group of buildings owned by one individual when one first enters off of 49 from the Save Mart area. It's a disgrace.

Yes old Angels is downtown. Years ago there used to be a downtown Altaville and one of the first original buildings still standing is the Garibaldi building now home to the Destination Angels offices. Then came (later on) the Altaville market once known as Pete's market to us locals. There is some organization I believe that is working on getting sidewalks put in along with getting the funds for it. I imagine that tractor supply will probably have their own sidewalks like that of dollar general

Correction-I stopped puffing green years ago and I have dropped way more from rolling than you have smoked! So just go destroy yourself(s) for all I care. Maybe you're lucky and still have all your brain cells hun? If you do that is. Go ahead and live on the dark side, but I will still pray for you cause you need it.
