Missing Person Shannon David Scott’s Vehicle Located
San Andreas, CA...On August 29, 2018 at about 11:00am Mr. Scott reportedly departed for a medical appointment at the Sacramento Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center. It was reported that he left the area of Wilseyville (Calaveras County). His appointment was scheduled for 1:30pm, however, Mr. Scott did not arrive to his appointment. He was scheduled to return to Wilseyville on August 29, 2018. Mr. Scott was reported missing by a family member on August 31, 2018 at about 10:30am.
At the time of the report, an investigation was initiated which included the issuance of a Silver Alert, a search of Mr. Scott’s residence, an aerial search of his path of travel, and investigation into the latest activity and location of Mr. Scott’s cell phone. Results from the cell phone provider indicated that the last activity on Mr. Scott’s phone had occurred in the Sloughhouse area of Jackson Hi ghway on August 30, 2018 at about 3:00pm.
Calaveras County Investigators remained active following numerous tips and leads since his disappearance.
On April 8, 2019 at about 3:30 PM the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a vehicle matching Shannon David Scott’s was located in Amador County outside of the town of Plymouth California. The vehicle was found off the highway and down an embankment. The vehicle was located by a citizen tending to their property. The California Highway Patrol and Amador County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to investigate. Upon arrival they observed human remains inside the vehicle.
The traffic incident is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol. Contact California Highway Patrol Officer Hagemann (209-223-4891) or the Amador Sheriff’s Office for further information regarding their investigations.
