Calaveras Chamber Announces Departure of CEO Staci Johnston

San Andreas, CA...The Board of Directors of the Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce announces to its membership that CEO Staci Johnston has accepted a position with the county as the Executive Director of the Calaveras Mariposa Community Action Agency (CMCAA). Staci will be staying on with the chamber until April 26th and will participate in the process to recruit and train her replacement. After such time if necessary, Board President Mark Luster will serve as Interim CEO.

The Board of Directors would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Staci for her invaluable contribution to the chamber and subsequent momentum that her work ethic and leadership has brought to the organization. “Staci has been a tremendous asset in laying the foundation for our robust future and we applaud her decision to pursue another growth opportunity. When people grow and create new opportunities for themselves and their families this is truly a measure of success for everyone involved.” Said Mark Luster Board President.

“I am honored to have served in my capacity as CEO for the past 4 1/2 years and feel blessed to have worked with many individuals, businesses and organizations who are striving to make Calaveras County a beautiful place to live, work, play and do business.” stated Ms. Johnston.

While a search for Staci’s successor is already underway Mark Luster, Board President, will oversee the transition period. During this transition, the Chamber office and the Calaveras Business Resource Center (CBRC) will remain open, providing the same high level of outstanding customer service our members and community expect. For those interested in applying for the position please contact the chamber office for the job description and submit your resume and cover letter to:
