Arnold, CA...Unsettled weather continues into this week according to the National Weather Service Sacramento office. The detailed forecast for West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada. Today At lower elevations, rain showers early in the morning, then rain showers and a chance of thunderstorms in the late morning and afternoon. At higher elevations, rain and snow showers. Some thunderstorms may produce small hail in the late morning and afternoon. Highs 29 to 44 higher elevations...43 to 51 lower elevations. No snow accumulation lower elevations...3 to 6 inches higher elevations. Snow level 5500 feet. Prevailing southwest winds 5 to 15 mph with gusts to around 30 mph...except southwest 15 to 30 mph over ridges.

Tonight Mostly cloudy. At lower elevations, rain showers likely and a slight chance of thunderstorms in the evening, then a slight chance of rain and snow showers after midnight. The dogwood is such a beautiful tree in bloom. My dearly departed mother Imogene Smith Whipple just loved the dogwood. In fact her ashes are buried under her favorite tree on the property-the dogwood. God bless her little heart!
