I'm curious, is Calaveras County being sued by a group that represents the marijuana growers after the county decided to ban cultivation?
I asked a friend who sank a lot of money, labor and time on his property only to have been told that he could no longer legally grow. All of this after he paid the fees and taxes Then have the rug pulled out from under him.
If the county is being sued does anyone know if there's a court date?

It's making its way through the system with no dates set as yet. Yes, many bought property, paid their fees and had the rug yanked out from under them. Also why many have had to leave and the SO is doing its best to stay on top of the many illegal grows popping up everywhere God only knows how long that budget will hold up with no real revenue to combat. The powers that be know full well they'll be facing these issues full on soon.

The lawsuit(s) are coming and the SO is stretched with no significant revenue coming into the county. There's a reason teachers are being laid off. Take a look at the huge budget cuts happening in our neighboring Tuolomne County. Coming soon to Calaveras as well.

Keep the ban, worst neighbors we ever had, no regard for anyone else, just the greed for the almighty dirty dollar and so many idiots doing it they can't make that much money and I love it!
BOS, don't bring it back in any form! Clean up the dirty abandoned grows and lean the properties. Those who are caught, confiscate everything and sell to cover the costs!

He's not pro-ban. Stopper has a good heart, he's sharp but he made a mistake with trent. I know personally he never intended to hurt anyone by this. All we can hope for is for is for him to make good on this move. One thing for sure.. he is is anything but a banster. Sorry ban camp, and as for having children, a child can have a child. What's your point? Any moron can procreate. Thankfully steve r stupid never did. Then again it would only be a woodshed. A very warped and tiny woodshed with downs.

Most drugs come through legal ports of entry. Walls don't work. Ladders and tunnels make the wall a stupid ineffective blight on the landscape. Wildlife and people living along the border are harmed when access to the river is blocked. People are losing their property rights. The wall is just Trump throwing red meat to his racist base. We need bridges not walls.
