Help An Arnold Man Recover His Prized Guitars!

Arnold, CA...From the owner..."Dear Pine Tree Readers, I’d like to inform the community to be extra vigilant if they see suspicious activity in their neighborhood. Sometime between Sept 2nd and 6th, my home on Elizabeth Drive in Blue Lake Springs was broken into and many of my cherished possessions were stolen.  Amongst the stolen items were 3 guitars that I purchased as a young man in the 1970’s and 1980’s.   They had tremendous sentimental value.  They also stole newer power tools (mostly Dewalt brand), chain saws, guitar amp, LCD TV, surround sound and stereo equipment, even some furniture and much more.

The thieves made entry through one of my garage doors which was not properly secured (with dead bolt). Since they left the lights on, the break in must have occurred at night or in early morning. If you have anything of value in your home, please ensure your home is secured when you leave. I also recommend security flood lights, especially those equipped with video (like Ring).

I would hate for others to go through what I am going through right now. If you see any suspicious activity, or if you see any of the guitars shown below in your travels, please call the Calaveras County Sheriff Department at 209.754.6500 or Call or Text 925.337.4882 the Owner at Thank you.

Sorry to hear that. Meth is the big motivator. Guaranteed if they catch them, they'll have a history of meth abuse. Either local dirtbags or up from the Valley.
Sad that we live here due the the low crime rates yet this happens.

Damn sorry to hear about your loss.
The Valley, really? You must be blind about meth users up here.
Go to the next Democrat meeting in our area and you're sure to be
on the right track and apprehend the subject. A warning though,
he'll be a felon and probably armed with a stolen handgun.

    Good luck, and stay dangerous.

The helicopter flying low over head on Sunday was PG&E inspecting power lines. I'm sure it was reported here yesterday, (NOT) but I'm sure not going to try to find it through what looks like 100's of Ads and no news. This way is much quicker incase you were interested.
I just can't understand why they didn't have PG&E printed on the helicopter.

Our economy is supported by visitors to the county?

Hummm......Today I went to Angel's Camp and like the many other customers I saw at the doctors, the auto parts store, the drug store, the grocery store, the restaurant and elsewhere, I dropped a load of cash there.

Monday? Most everyone in those businesses were locals.

How does our money NOT CONTRIBUTE to our local economy.

Guess we should shop elsewhere and be appreciated.

Goodbye Angel's Camp and Calaveras County.

"The economy up here is supported by our visitors. To the tune of almost 200 million per year"

This greedy thinking is exactly what is destroying the desirable rural countryside and quiet life that many are in search of.

Those so called visitors keep moving here and starting businesses that are only catering to more visitors.

Are you as insane as you sound?!!! Flatlanders!!? Our big problem up here are the druggies. They seem to run wild with no regard for the police...who by the way seem to be running scared or don't care. Look at the encampment at Dorrington? Has the county officials done any checking there? Are any of those cars stolen? Is it a warehouse for stolen items like this man's guitars? This county is going to the "druggies" and no public official seems to have enough balls to put a stop to it!!! Sorry for your loss, Mr.

Sorry about your loss. I hate thieves. We oughta whack one of their hands off when caught and convicted.

Unfortunately we're getting to the point where one needs to store their prize possessions in a safe room within the house. I've always kept my valuables in a large fireproof safe weighing hundreds of pounds, some of the best money I've ever spent as it gives tremendous peace of mind when out of town or even short jaunts to town. Word to the wise, steer clear of some of the local guys if you decide to invest in a safe. Ask them about delivery and travel fees.

I'm going to agree with the 70 ''percenter'' I'm afraid. I mean my husband is a democrat but has been leaning more towards the Republican party since the democrats have not been doing their jobs and the fighting in house, Omar and the ''some people did something'' about the murder of almost 3,000 American lives. The fact is true, and it's actually over 70% of our felons etc etc

Many Arnold and upper Route 4 neighborhoods like the poster's (Blue Lake Springs) are second vacation homes and cabins. Many have HOA restrictions as well. I would guess that only about 10% of the homes in mine are lived in full-time. So - fences with locking gates, dogs and guns not really applicable.

If anyone knows who did this, be a good person, and turn them in to someone that is a NRA member, he old dump in Avery is a good place to dispose of thieves, drug addicts that started out on pot, and those that think they have some kind of right to steal things that don't belong to them! Someone forgot to teach them that if it isn't on your property, in your house or garage, keep your Fkn hands off of it! We are about ayr. Away from the law abiding citizen's taking over the prosecution of these types, maybe sooner if this type of s hit doesn't stop! We know who many of you are, be careful responding to knocks on your door, you may be headed for the dump!

We can't continue to not punish thieves. Big built up prisons are not the answer for these people, tent work camps are a better option. Working sun up to sun down out in the elements doing whatever clean up on roadways, parks, river and creek beds, and more... for extended amounts of time. Fines that follow them the rest of their lives to make their victims and taxpayers whole again.

    TO THE VICTIM HOMEOWNER:
Take a mental inventory of who knew you had these guitars, who you invited into your home.
Who knew when you were there and who could tell when you were not there?
Who knew when you come and when you go?

It might surprise you to find that the people you trusted weren't trustworthy at all.
Some people you think are nice and friendly are actually shopping when they look around your home.
Not everybody who says they are your friend are telling the truth.

Kyle Cox is a tweeker as clear as day. The only people that wouldn't say so is a one themselves.

Start with Him, then head over to the Terry family. Not a crime happens in Arnold without them being a part of it.
Where there is a Terry, there is a crime waiting to happen.

And our sheriff's department does nothing about it!!! They ignore all the crap and just play "law enforcement". Time to clean the whole department and re staff it with someone who is not afraid of these tweekers!!!
