Amigo is the Calaveras County Animal Services Pet of the Week

San Andreas, CA...Meet Amigo, a Queensland Heeler mix, estimated to be about two years of age. A happy and handsome fellow, his eyes will melt your heart. No matter what is going on in Amigo’s world, his tail is always wagging and he’s ready for his next adventure. The people who found him reported that he played well with their dog but chased their cats, so a feline-free home would be best. A delightful pup with lots of potential, Amigo has made good progress learning to walk in a harness though would benefit from obedience training. We are confident his leash manners will continue to improve away from the distractions of the shelter.

As with all dogs available for adoption at the Calaveras Animal Shelter, Amigo is micro-chipped, has tested negative for heartworm and is up-to-date on his routine vaccinations. Since he is already neutered, he can go home with his special person or family today.

Come visit Amigo, impound no. AO50087, along with other dogs and cats awaiting their forever homes at Calaveras County Animal Services, 901 Jeff Tuttle Drive, San Andreas (in government center by the new jail). Animal Services is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday - Saturday (closed for lunch from 1-2 p.m.). For more information about this dog, please email kbandy@co.calaveras.ca.us or svavzincak@co.calaveras.ca.us, or call Animal Services directly at 754-6509. Please refer to his impound number when making inquiries. Adoptable animals may also be viewed on the web at http://animal.calaverasgov.us/Adoptions and on the Calaveras County Animal Services Facebook page.

We appreciate your use of phonetics when it's apparent English is so very difficult for you. "A" for effort.

Unlike you, dogs do not understand nor practice racism.

Wait a minute!... Vets ask that??
Sex is an obviously determined binary reality.
        Gender is a mental issue.
Anybody who questions their assigned sex has mental issues and animals don't do that.
        They accept reality.
