You don't make the rules, do you? If someone does or says something rude or not so smart, and gets called out on it, or if they do something kind and amazing and get called out on it, so be it.

If the above comments are an indication, it would seem there's a fair amount of inbreeding going on in the foothills.

So much for the Bansters. Still, Calaveras will have to get in line behind many other applications to the state. It lost its place in line with the ban. Too little, too late and yet another revenue stream train has all but left the station. Not too many growers will take their chances here again when you invited them in, took their money and then said never mind.

Growers knew the risks, dumb asses. So funny how much money they lost and still were able to load our kids up with pot.

Then it begs the question why your BOS is spending so much time and taxpayer dollars setting up a cannabis department and creating legal requirements. Either way, you're paying the price.

The idiots are the ones who think they can beat the State of California's tangled web of regulations that were never designed for them, but 15 years ago were carefully and strategically framed for large cannabis operations via multi-national corporations. Go ahead, folks, keep investing in your little grows if you want, but your bottom line cannot improve. The saying goes: If you are digging yourself a hole, sometimes it's best to put down the shovel.

Even the oh-so-free Amsterdam, the world leader in cannabis smoking, eating, infused drinking in public and even on the street, has strict and severe violations meaning long-sentence JAIL time for growing commercial pot and delivering it. Hmmm. What do they know that some of our mouth-breathing, glad handing folks don't?

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if a lot of property owners start packing loaded guns and rifles protecting what they own to shoot on-site to anyone trying to steal their cows or anything else. And they would have the perfect right to do that. I sense a very horrendous year coming up in 2020 if a whole bunch of pot growers come in and start trying to "take over" like they did before. So be prepared folks-it's gonna be a bumpy ride (like that old actress says)! Most folks in our county don't want this. Read the signs! The s**t is gonna hit the fan and it's gonna get ugly!

Here's one. Merita wants to "make my supporters proud of me." Gosh that sounds juvenile. How about making Calaveras County a safe and prosperous place for all including helping children, pets, seniors, and young people, ALL of them to prosper. How about not lying? Really, Merita, it's not that hard.
