Molly Jean Collins, 38 of Avery Passed Away in October 4th, Hwy 12 Fatal Collision

Burson, CA....The Sad family notifications have been made and CHP has released the name of the young mother killed in Friday's Collision. Molly Jean Collins, 38 from Avery was the young woman who tragically passed away. Collins was driving a 2010 Acura sedan, within a private driveway, east of Haskell Street, and preparing to to turn left onto eastbound SR-12. McGee was driving a 2008 Ford F150, westbound on SR-12, at approximately 50-55 MPH, and approaching the Acura's location. For reasons still under investigation, Molly Collins unsafely entered SR-12 directly in the path of the approaching Ford. The front of the Ford collided with the drivers side of the Acura within the westbound lane of SR-12. The impact pushed both vehicles in a southwesterly direction and they left the roadway, coming to rest off the south roadway shoulder.

Despite life saving efforts on scene, Ms. Collins sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her passenger was transported to UC Davis Medical Center for minor injuries.

The driver of the F-150 was not inured in this collision.

Alcohol and/or drugs are not believed to be a factor in this collision.

There are no further details available at this time and this collision is still under investigation.

From all of us at ThePineTree.net our prayers are with her family and friends.
