The Steps to Kick Cancer Luncheon Brought the Community Together Against Cancer!

San Andreas, CA...The Steps to Kick Cancer Luncheon was held last week on the campus of Mark Twain Medical Center.  Breast cancer survivor Tina Macuha, "Good Day Sacramento" host headlined the event. She gave a moving testimony of how on April 2009, she shared her breast cancer story on the show. Recently marking her tenth anniversary as a survivor, Tina continues to share her and her family's cancer journey at many breast cancer events. Below is video of much of the event and a few photos as well.

The luncheon program will included the MTMC Care Team, explaining the Steps to Kick Cancer – 1. Self-exam, routinely; 2. Mammogram, annually; 3. Diagnosis, frightfully; 4. Treatment, optimistically. Tina shared Step 5. – Surviving, confidently.

In keeping with Breast Cancer Awareness Month’s traditional pink theme – luncheon organizers used pink shoes as fun elements for promotions and decor. Attendees were urged to wear pink shoes to qualify for special prizes.
