Major Injuries for Modesto Man in Hwy 4 Collision
Angels Camp, CA...A 33 year old Modesto man was driving a Chrysler Sebring westbound on State Route 4, west of Stallion Way at an unknown speed. A 51 year old Fremont man was driving a Dodge Ram eastbound on State Route 4, west of Stallion Way at approximately 40 mph. For unknown reasons, The Modesto man allowed his vehicle to leave the roadway and enter the north shoulder. He over corrected to the left and back onto the roadway. He had no control of the Sebring and spun in a counter clock wise direction and into the eastbound lane, directly in the path of the Ram. Consequently, the front end of the Ram collided with the driver side of the Sebring.
The Modesto man received major injuries and was taken from the scene by air ambulance.
Alcohol and/or drugs are not considered a factor in this collision.
