Free Mammograms Available in Celebration of Mother's Day
Arnold, CA...Most doctors feel that early detection tests for breast cancer save many thousands of lives each year, and that many more lives could be saved if even more women and their health care providers took advantage of these tests. In celebration of Mother’s Day, the Family Medical Center in Arnold is offering free mammograms between May 5th and May 9th. This special program is available to all Calaveras and Tuolumne County women. Appointments must be made for these screenings by calling 209-795-4193.
This free mammogram program is a partnership between Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital, the Family Medical Center in Arnold and the Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation. The Hospital Foundation has an ongoing campaign to raise funds for Digital Mammography in Calaveras County.
Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital is a not-for-profit, 48-bed general acute care hospital serving all of Calaveras County. Established in 1951 as Mark Twain District Hospital and centrally located in San Andreas, the hospital is partnered with Catholic Healthcare West to further strengthen this rural hospital to meet future community needs. The hospital is supported by 45 active physicians practicing in 24 specialties.
