Well Known Doctor Returns to Care for Community & Direct Medical Clinics

San Andreas, CA...Dr. John Krpan has returned to caring for patients in Calaveras County through the Mark Twain Medical Center system. He will now be seeing patients at the new James Dalton Medical Office in Angels Camp and serve as the Medical Director of Clinics for Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC). “This is a remarkable time for our organization and the patients we serve,” states Hospital President and CEO Doug Archer. “The return of Dr. Krpan represents a new beginning for MTMC and reinforces our commitment to increase access to quality care in Calaveras County. He is a well-known respected doctor with a deep dedication to this community and I look forward to partnering with him as we continue our efforts to improve clinic operations and the overall patient experience.”

Dr. Krpan graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in 1995 and did his post-graduate training at San Joaquin General in the UC Davis Family Practice Program where he served as Chief Resident. He is board certified in Family Medicine. He and his family relocated to Calaveras County in 2002 from rural Alaska and their four children are all Bret Harte High School alumni.

“I am very excited to work with this team in our community,” remarked Dr. Krpan. “I personally knew Jim Dalton and I am honored to work in a clinic named after him. He was a great man. He gave a lot of his time, wisdom and wealth. Jim was a quiet advocate for patient access to care and the new James Dalton Medical Center is just one of his many legacies… Our team is both honored and proud to provide care in such a truly outstanding setting.”
