Could Increased Focus on Hygiene and Disease Actually Lower Total Illness Deaths This Year?

Arnold, CA...A bit of counter intuitive thinking for a Monday. While Covid 19 is real and is and will cause a significant number of deaths for us domestically as in other areas of the world. Our hunch is there may be a silver lining in that increased focus on disease transmission and self quarantining while sick could actually lower total flu, Covid 19 & other infectious disease deaths in 2020.

So after all the disruptions that are prudent and needed we may actually end the year with less virus related deaths in 2020 than in previous years.

This sounds overly optimistic. At Trump's press conference this morning he said a woman has died. However, 2 men in Washington have died.

Six as of this morning in Washington state. Trump does seem to have trouble keeping up.

Possible. Still, I'm very surprised at how many I meet in this county who didn't get a flu shot this year, including those that were in very public positions, care for elderly parents or have infant grandchildren too young to vaccinate. People also still repeat that bit of idiocy that the vaccine gives them the flu.

"Vaccines giving you the flu?" As if this is the only concern. You need to educate yourself. All this chemical medical intervention is shortening lives, and bringing on later life severe sickness.

Those of us who have worked with animals most of our lives have seen the canary in the coal mine. What has happened to the pets with all the intervention over the years is very clear.

Exactly - from a generation which has never seen the ravages of polio or TB. Experiment with your dog if you must but not children.

No one needs your one line dismissal sheeple!

What is in question is if: You get a flu shot and get sick, did you already have antibodies against those strains?

I had all the shots as a kid. But also had many things there was no shot for, one being Whooping Cough. The doctor stayed overnight at out house and I almost died.

When getting my children immunizations they both had serious reactions to that part of the immunization. Was it because I passed my immunity on to them and it clashed with the vaccine? Anyhow, they could not have the rest of that vaccine.

Much we do not know, and are not being told.

I’m terribly sorry to hear your children had bad reactions, that must have been terrifying.

Those are still VERY rare. I am very grateful I did not have to spend tense nights with a child with whooping cough, or polio, or measles.

Newborn babies receive some immune system protection from their mothers, which goes away as their own immune system develops. Little maternal immunity remains after age one.

The flu mutates constantly, which is why flu shots are an annual thing. The protection a flu shot provides is limited to the strain in the vaccination, while often a few strains circulate in a given year. And that immunity takes about two weeks post shot to fully develop. As that immunity develops, some flu-like symptoms can appear. This is not sickness, but rather an immune system reaction, which is healthy and normal.

I did educate myself, and I didn’t make the choice to vaccinate my children blindly. I did it to protect them, as well as to protect babies too young for the shot, people with compromised immune systems, and children like yours that where unable to safely receive vaccinations.

Right. The flu shot can cause flu-like symptoms, which is your immune response to the vaccine. This means it is working!

Everywhere I go I see men spitting on sidewalks, parking lots, streets. When going to Jackson to shop there are homeless and their body fluids all around stores and public places. Same in Sonora. Will these places start cleaning (disinfectant, steam) these areas? My guess is no.

Make sure to take your shoes off before entering your home (you could also spread this to your pets.) At the very least, spray 90% alcohol on the soles of your shoes, and your vehicle floor mat.

      Call In Sick Lose Job

How many would be fired if they called in sick, or left work because of illness?
Quite a few. Many employers will fire people who don't show up at work. Get Real.
How many don't have health Ins ? Do you think they would go to a Dr knowing it is hundreds of $ ? get Real.
This is why America needs medicare for all.

The SCOTUS will take up the ACA suit this Fall. Most agree the tRump illegitimate SCOTUS will end the ACA, this will return to the dayd of the Ins Cos denying care, and not allowing Ins because of pre existing conditions.

The Republicans have been trying to kill Medicare and Social Security since they were started.

If you care to know which party is the party of death as in death panels, it is the Republican party.

Unless you are wealthy voting Republican is voting against you and your family.

That is another subject other than what we were taking about in this post.

But here is some talk back for ya.
There is much news that we may be close to max employment (those that actually want to work having a job.) Good luck to those employers firing and trying to find someone else.

        The rest is natural selection.

How strange when a Democrat talks of hygiene like they have a sense of smell.
What amusing about the dumbacraps is when their President stopped flights from the Providence of China where this virus started, Democrats called their President a racist. Now they cry like hysterical little sissies he's not doing enough. You hysterical little sissies and Hillary dreamers are so embarrassingly stupid it would be funny, except that some people say you're actually Americans.
