Ebbetts Pass Resident is 5th Confirmed Case of COVID-19 in Calaveras County

Arnold, CA...The 5th Confirmed Case of COVID-19 has been reported in Calaveras County. Over the weekend, Calaveras Public Health confirmed a new case of novel coronavirus or COVID-19. The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the County is now five. Two of the five cases have since recovered. This additional positive case is an older adult female with travel history who resides along the upper Highway 4 corridor. The exposure to COVID-19 occurred outside of the county.

Public Health staff are identifying persons who may have had close personal contact with this individual, including any friends, family members or healthcare professionals, to assess and monitor them for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 illness. Close personal contacts identified during this investigation will be placed under strict quarantine.

Keep Calaveras safe and healthy
 Stay at home as much as possible.
o Avoid being around sick people and maintain physical distancing, especially by staying at home
o Wash your hands often
o Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
 Keep your space
o Avoid close contact with people who are sick
o Create a space, at least 6 feet, between people
 Cover your face
o Wear a cloth face covering when you must be in public for essential activities such as going to the grocery store or picking up medication. Surgical masks and N-95 masks are in short supply and should be reserved for healthcare professionals.

Calaveras Public Health will continue to monitor this development. It is expected that
further cases of COVID-19 infection will be identified in Calaveras residents.

Additional resources can be found on the Calaveras Public Health website at
https://covid19.calaverasgov.us/. The COVID-19 Community Service Call Center is
available Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm at (209) 754-2896.

Great ! Upper corridor on 4 ! What's the reasoning behind not saying specifically where it is and where this individual has been in our community ?

Actually. Is a reportable illness and therefore people have the right to be informed if they were possibly exposed. No, the name of the person may not be disclosed. But potential sources of exposure should be disclosed appropriately.

Ok, boomer. You’re the one most susceptible to the virus, not the rest of us. Your generation sees their time on earth coming to an end and can’t help but burn the whole world down on your way out the door.

I am biased, and disappointed, as are all past generations who were willing to sacrifice for their posterity.

The Affordable Health Care Act covered every American. Including those who use the county hospital and emergency services for their primary care. Could be those have been many of your neighbors who didn't see a need to have or felt they could pay for health care insurance.

All Church Going Religious Christians of true faith should be allowed to practice their faith in GOD with their own faithful friends in their Church! End this now and allow us to praise him with our congregations!

Lord Jesus please let us bow to you in our church, protect us from this hoax, we love you Lord and know that you will help us in this time of need and shield our lives in your amazing love, let it shine through Lord, and give Pastor Doug Collins the amazing pay day, let our President continue to break the law through public and congressional appeal, and let those heathens who believe not in you, let them suffer the consequences of their sins! If you are one of those hypocritical religious people then you are taking a risk by congregating in your church. A 1/3 of church-goers in Sacramento have been detected as positive for the virus.
What makes them think that they are exempt from stay at home orders? Just because you have faith in God doesn't make you immune from this disease.
