Angels Camp Water Woes Even Brought KCRA to Town
Angels Camp, CA...KCRA Reporter, Richard Sharp and Cameraman Tom O'Hair brought their shiny new remote truck on it's maiden voyage to Angels Camp tonight. They were parked next to Mike's Pizza to report on the City's water main that is to be shut down tonight to be replaced. When we spoke with Mike's Pizza owner, Greg Eason, he mentioned that it was unfortunate that the outage occurred at this time, which happens to be Fair and Frog Jump week, as it is their busiest of the entire year. He also mentioned that they will be losing at least a day's receipts....
He also mentioned that they could have worked around it and used potable water for food prep etc. However in the end it was deemed a more prudent course of action to just go ahead and close in spite of the very real fiscal penalty.
I am sure that Angels Camp will attract additional attention from the media again tomorrow.
