The Annual Fair & Frog Jump Youth Parade....Video & Photos Galore with more to come!
Angels Camp, CA...Downtown Angels Camp was filled to the brim this morning! There were boy scouts, girl scouts, cub scouts, kids on horses, fire trucks, Smokey the Bear, Dancers and more for Annual Calaveras County & Jumping Frog Jubilee Kiddie Parade. Christian Locke and Mikayla Todd of Hannibal Missouri were also on hand as Tom Sawyer and Becky Thatcher. The new Jr. Miss Calaveras, Kaylee Sedler and her court rode atop a Altaville Melones Fire Truck. The new Miss Calaveras 2008, Amanda Warden and her court, made their first public appearance as they rode through town in an antique car The 2nd Day of Fair is a tradition amongst many locals in our area. They take their kids to the parade then head on over to the Jubilee for "Buckaroo Day", which is no admission charge to kids under 12. All Calaveras County schools are closed on Thursday and Friday during the week of fair to give the community a chance to enjoy what this lovely area has to offer!
