Coordinated Efforts Result in Multiple Arrests

San Andreas, CA...On May 21st, 2020 the Calaveras County Narcotics Enforcement Unit coordinated efforts with the Calaveras County Probation Office to simultaneously search two residences. Investigators from the Calaveras Narcotic Enforcement Unit served a search warrant in the 12000 block of Cheyenne Drive in Burson. During the search they located a rifle, loaded shotgun, four loaded handguns, a stun gun and ammunition. In addition to the weapons deputies located 3.4 pounds of processed marijuana, 5.2 grams of methamphetamine, 14 methamphetamine smoking pipes and items indicative of the sale of drugs.




The recovered rifle was an AR15 style weapon which did not appear to have been commercially manufactured and did not have serial numbers. Additionally, two suspected stolen trailers and a suspected stolen All-Terrain Vehicle were located and seized from the scene.

Suspect Joseph Lee Fisher (age 42 of Burson) was arrested on scene and charged with the following: 29800 PC (Felon in possession of firearm – Felony), 30305(a)(1) PC (Felon in possession of ammunition –Felony), 11378 HS (Possession of controlled substance for sales - Felony), 11359 HS (Possession of marijuana for sales- Felony), 10751 (A) VC (Altered VIN -Misdemeanor), 11364(a) HS (Possession of drug paraphernalia -Misdemeanor), 12677 HS (Possession of fireworks without permit -Misdemeanor) and 12651(A) PC (Felon in possession of stun gun - Misdemeanor). Fisher was arrested and booked into the Calaveras County Jail with a bail of $85,000.00. He was released after he posted bail on May 21st at about 8:30 PM.

The second search took place at a residence located in the 11000 block of Arapaho Drive in Burson. This location was searched by the Calaveras Probation Department and Calaveras County Deputies. During the search, deputies and probation officers located Xanax pills (without an associated prescription), a revolver, ammunition, two methamphetamine smoking pipes, 7.3 grams of methamphetamine, .7 grams of heroin, items indicative of the sale of drugs, a loaded syringe containing heroin, and a loaded syringe containing methamphetamine.

Suspect Zachary Day (age 31 of Burson) and Suspect Brandy Rachell Felts-Patelzick (age 47 of Burson) were arrested on scene. Day was transported to the Calaveras County Jail and charged with 3455(b) (2) PC (Revocation of supervision -Felony), 30305(a) PC (Felon possession of ammunition -Felony), 29800 (a) PC (Felon possession of a firearm -Felony), 11350(a) HS (Possess Narcotic / Control substance -Misdemeanor), 11377(a) HS (Possession of controlled substance -Misdemeanor), 11364(a) HS (Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia -Misdemeanor) and a Felony warrant issued from Stanislaus county. Day is not eligible for the Covid-19 zero bail judicial order and is still in custody with no bail assigned.

Suspect Brandy Rachell Felts-Patelzick (age 47 of Burson) was charged with the following: 1203.2(a) PC (Violation of probation -Felony), 30305(a) PC (Felon possession of ammunition -Felony), 11377(a) HS (Possession of controlled substance -Misdemeanor), 11364(a) HS (Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia -Misdemeanor). Felts-Patelzick was transported and booked into the Calaveras County Jail. She was released due to the Covid-19 zero bail judicial release order.

This case is an ongoing investigation and no further information is available.
