Striping on Local Roadways to Continue Throughout June
San Andreas, CA...Continuing through late-June there will be traffic delays throughout Calaveras County to accommodate roadway striping activities on select county maintained roads. The projected roadway segments (listed below) are primarily located between the communities of Dorrington/Arnold /Avery and then the major collectors in Supervisorial District 5. Striping work will be completed via mobile operations with moving lane closures during the daylight hours of 7:00am to 4:00pm. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution in the areas. The Annual Striping Program is being constructed by Central Striping Service, Inc. Central Striping and Calaveras County appreciate your cooperation and will do everything we can to complete the project on schedule.
On March 19, 2020, Governor Newsom issued an Executive Order directing all residents to heed current State public health directives to stay home. The Executive Order includes a list of essential critical infrastructure workers. Public Works and construction contractors have been identified as essential services, and critical public works infrastructure projects and programs will continue during the pandemic in accordance with the Executive Order. Public Works strongly supports the need to balance the delivery of essential services with the need for both public and private employers to protect employees from COVID-19. To that end, Public Works continues to collaborate with our construction contractor partners to take all necessary precautions that protect employees and minimize the risk of exposure to COVID-19 to our employees and the community.
