Six New COVID-19 Cases Identified in Tuolumne County

Sonora, CA.... A Cluster of COVID-19 Cases Identified in Staff at Congregate Care Facility and Updates on Non-Resident Case Cases at Care Facility. The Tuolumne County Public Health Department was notified on June 28th that 6 staff members have tested positive for COVID-19 at Avalon Care Center in Sonora. Case investigations have been started and all individuals are currently isolating at home.

Public Health is coordinating with Avalon representatives, as well as the California Department of Public Health on the case investigation. Residents and staff have been tested and additional results are pending. Tuolumne County has now tripled the number of identified cases in less than 10 days.

Non-Resident Positive Case Exposures in Tuolumne County
The non-resident case that was identified yesterday, June 27th is isolating at home in their county of residence. The individual was in Tuolumne County for several days for a large group gathering. We were able to identify many of the participants, all of whom are residents of other counties, but we have not been able to confirm we have identified all event participants.

If you attended a group event/campout at River Ranch Campground between June 22nd and June 28th ou should self-quarantine for 14 days from the last date of exposure and get tested no sooner than 3-5 days after exposure. You can call Tuolumne County Public Health’s COVID-19 Call Center at (209) 533-7440 starting Monday for more information.

We have had recent multiple incidences of positive cases participating in various private gatherings, impacting our first responders and healthcare workers. Those essential critical infrastructure workers are necessary to maintain our ability to respond and care for our most vulnerable residents.

It is important for everyone to follow Public Health recommendations to help protect
yourself and your community during the COVID-19 pandemic:
• Avoid gatherings with anyone outside of your household
• Wear a face covering in public
• Practice physical distancing
• Wash your hands frequently
• Do not travel outside of your home community

Why don’t you direct your rage at local businesses who courting these tourists and encouraging them to not wear masks? Murphys Hotel is throwing a 4th of July bash and the owner of the hotel isn’t going to make anyone wear a mask. He refuses to wear one himself, too.
The majority of downtown Murphys businesses are being safe and requiring masks. But makes it hard to keep the community safe, and makes all downtown businesses look bad, when one of the largest businesses In our community is openly flouting public health measures.
Places like Murphys Hotel is what is going to bring Covid to all of us in the Foothill communities.

It’s a simple precaution; the worst is wearing glasses and fogging your lenses....and smelling your own breath, get over it eat a mint and put on a damn mask.

And if you’re crafty, drape it over your eyes during a flight.

Exactly. Something tells me ‘Mighty B’ Brian Goss isn’t going to knock this crap off until the more powerful Murphys business owners give this assclown the cold shoulder.
Brian Goss is not your friend, guys. If he has his stupid covid 4th of July party, and everyone gets sick, it’ll be your businesses, too, that get flushed. Not just his. More covid means NO ONE gets business. He’ll kill our town.
Tell Brian Goss what you really think is his cavalier take on covid.

As one of those business people in Murphys, I can tell you many of us have contacted Merita.
She tells us the sheriff will not help. We are not cowards. We just wish our county would do their *bleep*ING JOB. It is not fair to put this on the shoulders of local business people. We battle folks who give us grief about wearing a mask in our shops all the time. I for one worry about the opening of schools because of an out break of the virus thanks to the Murphys Hotel. The hotel licences should be suspended at least. We no longer tell vivitors to eat at the Murphys Hotel. It is not safe.

I am waiting for a call back from Brian.. All 4th of July celebrations have been canceled in the bay area as of today. Iron Stone has canceled their program out of concern for people's health. I think more of us to need to talk with Brian. He is making a terrible mistake. Yes, I worry about another shut down and the health of our community and the opening of our schools. Jan Schulz

Thank you for doing that Jan. I doubt it’s going to make any difference. Maybe if a few dozen more took the same initiative it might help, but I doubt it. The sheriff and Merita need to do their damn jobs.
Take a peek at Brian’s Facebook page. There’s something mentally wrong with him. He doesn’t seem to be capable of caring about anyone but himself, and is enjoying the worry he’s causing. He’s positively gleeful about all the concerns about the party. He’s calling himself a “twisted fire starter,” for upsetting and worrying everyone. He thinks this is a game. He’s getting off of it. It’s very disturbing.

Here we are four and 1/2 months after Covid was first found rampaging around a nursing home in Washington. What kind of morons are running the Avalon facility that this outbreak should occur? This is malpractice on an egregious scale. The director and head of nursing should be fired, sued for negligence, and if anyone dies, prosecuted for manslaughter. This is simply unbelievable.

For months, the Washington Post and the rest of the mainstream media kept a morbid Covid-19 “death count” on their front pages and at the top of their news broadcasts. The coronavirus outbreak was all about the number of dead. The narrative was intended to boost governors like Cuomo in New York and Whitmer in Michigan, who turned their states authoritarian under the false notion that destroying people’s jobs, freedom, and lives would somehow keep a virus from doing what viruses always do: spread through a population until eventually losing strength and dying out.

The “death count” was always the headline.

But then all of a sudden early in June the mainstream media did a George Orwell and lectured us that it is all about “cases” and has always been all about “cases.” Death, and especially infection fatality rate, were irrelevant. Why? Because from the peak in April, deaths had decreased by 90 percent and were continuing to crash. That was not terrifying enough so the media pretended this good news did not exist.

With massive increases in testing, the “case” numbers climbed. This is not rocket science: the more people you test the more “cases” you discover.

Unfortunately our mainstream media is only interested in pushing the “party line.” So the good news that millions more have been exposed while the fatality rate continues to decline – meaning the virus is getting weaker – is buried under hysterical false reporting of “new cases.”

Unfortunately many governors, including our own here in Texas, are incapable of resisting the endless lies of the mainstream media. They are putting Americans again through the nightmare of forced business closures, mandated face masks, and restrictions of Constitutional liberties based on false propaganda.

In Texas the “second wave” propaganda has gotten so bad that the leaders of the four major hospitals in Houston took the extraordinary step late last week of holding a joint press conference to clarify that the scare stories of Houston hospitals being overwhelmed with Covid cases are simply untrue. Dr. Marc Boom of Houston Methodist said the reporting on hospital capacity is misleading. He said, “quite frankly, we’re concerned that there is a level of alarm in the community that is unwarranted right now.”

In fact, there has been much reporting that the “spike” in Texas cases is not due to a resurgence of the virus but to hospital practices of Covid-testing every patient coming in for any procedure at all. If it’s a positive, well that counts as a “Covid hospitalization.” Why would hospitals be so dishonest in their diagnoses? Billions of appropriated Federal dollars are being funneled to facilities based on the number of “Covid cases” they can produce. As I’ve always said, if you subsidize something you get more of it. And that’s why we are getting more Covid cases.

Let’s go back to the original measurements used to scare Americans into giving up their Constitutional liberties: the daily death numbers. Even though we know hospitals have falsely attributed countless deaths to “Covid-19” that were deaths WITH instead of FROM the virus, we are seeing actual deaths steadily declining over the past month and a half. Declining deaths are not a great way to push the “second wave” propaganda, so the media and politicians have moved the goal posts and decided that only “cases” are important. It’s another big lie.

Resist propaganda and defend your liberty. That is the only way we’ll get through this.

Deaths lag cases, so we will have to wait and see. But hospitalizations anticipate deaths and hospitalizations have skyrocketed in TX, AZ, and FL. You can bluster all you want, but I am willing to look at the numbers and be guided by the numbers -- all of them -- and you would be well advised (if you take advice) to do the same.

In review, the Ron Paul Institute reports news from a Libertarian perspective that frequently utilizes loaded emotional wording such as this: Incredible Disappearing Coronavirus – The Narrative Has Failed. Although they often rail against socialism they also frequently report negatively on Neo-Conservatives such as this: The Media Has Conveniently Forgotten George W. Bush’s Many Atrocities. This story is sourced to the factually Mixed Mises Institute.

Editorially, the Ron Paul Institute advocates for libertarian policy such as free-market capitalism, limited military intervention, marijuana legalization, return to the gold standard, and deregulation. When it comes to science they often deviate from the consensus regarding human-influenced climate change Can the Fed Save Us from Climate Change?. Further, they occasionally publish unsubstantiated conspiracy claims such as the Syria chemical attack being a false flag operation as well as promoting the Coronavirus as a hoax (See below). In general, the Ron Paul Institute reports news with a strong libertarian bias that is not always factual.
