Bad place for a collision
Posted on: 2020-07-11 19:48:16   By: Anonymous

Unfortunately, people pull out onto hwy 4 in front of oncoming traffic that is traveling at 55-60mph.
Or, the left turn onto Parrots Ferry in front of oncoming.
Either way, high speed with impatient drivers.

Cal-Trans really needs to install a traffic signal at that intersection. I don't trust any of those motorists who most likely will turn left in front of you or pull out from the stop sign onto Hwy 4.

Paradise lost. It was wonderful when we could brag we had no stop lights in the county. You could actually drive to your destination and not be behind someone going 35 and holding up a long line of vehicles. Why do they refuse to pull over and let everyone go? They create a very dangerous situation with everyone honking and trying to pass them.

Too many people in California, and now Calaveras County.

NO - on the traffic lights suggestion. Government needs to stop trying to control every aspect of our lives. Just adapt to deal with the stupid people you may come across in life.

With the stop light installations comes the strip malls. If you travel across America today, every town looks just like the other with the strip malls and chain stores everywhere. Very ugly.

So, drive appropriately for the conditions! All of the stop lights, straighten the roads, putting up guard rails will not keep people from driving like idiots! Do you thing people don’t blow through stop lights, wrong.

I don't know what drugs that you are taking but traffic signals do save lives unless people like you completely ignore them and don't drive safely.

Traffic lights up here cause accidents! Drive down from Arnold on a busy weekend. Cars backed up in the turns before you reach Murphys. You're driving the speed limit coming down past forest meadows and all of the sudden your in a curve 2miles from Murphy's and you lock your brakes up because they are backed up from the traffic light in Murphys! Traffic lights only work in certain areas under certain condition. When it backs traffic up on a blind curve it is dangerous. Lawsuit dangerous.

Drunks and elderly....I was just stating a fact as to a major issue traffic wise here. YES, I do, and we all must drive defensively everywhere we go today. Far too many people and vehicles on the twisting country roads not intended for such an increase of traffic .

One day you are going to elderly. So you shouldn't drive? Drunk driving is just plain stupid at ANY AGE.

No, we don't need a traffic light, we need people to pay attention when driving, especially the worst drivers in America, young males.

Drunks galore, and the you have the 20 to 45 year old drunk, smoking weed, meth, heroin, ecstasy and cocaine. Drug use is up with those between 16 to 49, and the young drivers are the most dangerous driver on the road. They think they know how to drive, they drive aggressively, and they have inferior driving skills. Every insurance company in the country would agree and you can tell by their rates, young males, worst drivers on the road and most expensive to insure.

You have to be so ignorant to think that people with a low IQ and self esteem are the majority of drug users. You and people who think like that scare me!!!!!!
