MTMC Launches CELEBRATE CALAVERAS to Lift Community Spirit

San Andreas, CA...Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) is appealing to the community to join the movement to CELEBRATE CALAVERAS. Doug Archer, MTMC President and CEO explains, “We are launching CELEBRATE CALAVERAS -- a fun social media campaign – to share, raise spirits and build community pride and for this unique place where we live and work.”

“MTMC not only provides the wellness framework for healthy living, but we also appreciate and support all elements of our local community. As we move forward, other key Calaveras County stakeholders are committed to joining in the effort for the widest possible involvement – extending the CELEBRATE CALAVERAS message in all directions.”
“We are asking local residents and those who work here to share photos highlighting the natural beauty, rich history and unmatched recreation opportunities they enjoy in Calaveras County. These are attributes we often take for granted in our daily routine.”

The CELEBRATE CALAVERAS movement has been introduced to MTMC employees over the past couple of months with their enthusiastic responses featured in the employee newsletter for several weeks. Those photos and captions will now be posted on the MTMC Facebook Page to spark community interest and response.

Join the fun by sending your photo and description to CELEBRATE CALAVERAS Robert.Lema@DignityHealth.org and watch for it to appear on the MTMC Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/MarkTwainMedicalCenter/) .

Submit photos of your favorite local scenes – like family members delighting in local natural resources like fishing and boating, biking or walking local trails or country roads. Or maybe picnics in town parks or along riverbanks, views of your backyard or from your deck.

You get the idea – photos that capture the things for which we CELEBRATE CALAVERAS.
Archer adds, “We originally planned to launch CELEBRATE CALAVERAS in March – and then, priorities shifted to COVID – 19 readiness and response. Now it seems even more appropriate to celebrate our community for its resilience in pulling together during trying times, as well as celebrating the awesome surroundings we are lucky enough to call home.”

For more information on CELEBRATE CALAVERAS contact Nicki Stevens, MTMC Manager of Marketing and Business Development at 209-754-5919.|
