Angel Auction in Angels Camp Will Feature Wine, Art and Creative Packages...Proceeds Will Benefit Art and Health Services
Angels Camp, CA...“Mediterranean Mystique” is the theme of the sixth annual Angel Auction, a benefit for two respected non-profits, the Calaveras Arts Council and Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation. The gala event will be held Saturday, June 28, at Camps Restaurant in Greenhorn Creek in Angels Camp. .....
This original watercolor donated by Maren Sampson of Mountain Ranch will be this year’s logo for The Angel Auction, a benefit for the Calaveras Arts Council and Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation.
A hosted wine and white sangria reception will begin the evening’s program at 5:30pm, with ample time to preview the many live and silent auction items. Or, enjoy the grounds at Camps while strolling under the wisteria canopy, discussing the auction items or meeting with friends. Mediterranean style appetizers and tapas will be served in keeping with the flavor of the theme for the evening. Pre-dinner entertainment will also be provided by Spanish Guitarist, Hilario Gonzales. A Mediterranean style dinner will be served at 7:00 pm as diners enjoy the beautiful view overlooking the Greenhorn golf course and surrounding grounds.
The Angel Auction is honored to have as its premier art piece for the live auction, the “Angel”, an original watercolor by Maren Sampson of Mountain Ranch. Other artists who have donated early to the live auction are Karen O’Neill of the Harbinger Gallery and Peggi Kroll-Roberts. Additional live auction items include a week’s stay in a beach front condo located in Punta Mita, Mexico, located on the spectacular Banderas Bay just north of Puerto Vallarta. A framed photograph by Andrea Silva, gold panning with Howard Little, special Calaveras wines and many more items will also be auctioned.
The 2008 Treasure Chest will provide the lucky key holder with a trip to Mediterranean Europe for 7 days. Keys may be purchased for $100 before or during the Angel Auction. Only 100 keys are available for this top prize.
Items in the auctions will be on public view in the Gallery Calaveras in the Arts Council building starting June 14, ending June 27. Located at 22 Main Street in San Andreas, the gallery hours are weekdays 9:00 am to 4:00 pm; Saturdays 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Now is the time to reserve your attendance, which is $100 per person.
