EBMUD Limiting Capacity to Some Facilities Including Mokelumne Day Use Area

Mokelumne Hill, CA...Effective Saturday, July 18, 2020. EBMUD is committed to keeping our parks – and park visitors - safe. Due to overcrowding at the Mokelumne River Day Use Area, the park will remain open but with reduced capacity on the weekends to allow for social distancing and to reduce the impact on the park’s resources. Only 100 cars will be allowed in for day use at the Mokelumne Day Use Area and up to 20 parking spots will be available for launching watercraft. Early arrival or weekday visits are recommended.

The Mokelumne River Fish Hatchery remains closed.

EBMUD requests all visitors to comply with California’s public health order.

- practice social distancing and avoid congregating with people outside of their immediate households

- wear a mask when you can’t social distance

- do not travel significant distances and stay close to home while recreating outdoors

- bring your own gloves, masks, soap, disinfectants and tablecloths, and continue to follow all CDC guidelines.

Please check ebmud.com/recreation or https://www.ebmud.com/recreation/sierra-foothills/mokelumne-river-day-use-area/ for updates.
