Calaveras Connect – Red Line Bus Service is Back!

San Andreas, CA...Starting Monday, August 3rd, the Red Line will resume its regular schedule between Valley Springs, San Andreas, and Angels Camp Monday through Friday. Extended service to Columbia College is also available by request. And it is still fare-free!

All other service continues to be provided by request, with a one-day advance reservation recommended. Persons needing transportation can call Customer Service at (209) 754-4450 to schedule a trip to and from locations within ¾ mile of Calaveras Connects regular bus routes. Because so many in our community have been financially impacted by this crisis, Calaveras Connect is not collecting fares or requiring passes at this time.

During the Covid-19 crisis, Calaveras Connect has made major changes in our service to keep our riders safe, while continuing to meet essential transportation needs. To keep riders safe, each bus is limited to four riders to allow for social distancing. Special sanitation protocols are in place and drivers are equipped with masks, gloves, sanitizers, and other protective gear for themselves and riders. Our procedures are based on guidance from state health and emergency officials.

On-Demand Transportation is provided Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Buses serve the following areas:
• San Andreas to Jackson, West Point, Mountain Ranch- On-Demand Only
• Angels Camp to Arnold, Copperopolis- On Demand Only

Masks are now required to board and ride all buses.
Please visit www.calaverasconnect.org for additional information and current service updates.

Thank you so much for this service! I've been using this service to do my shopping and the driver can drop me off with my food right at my house (since it's not far off from the route). I think it's a great service especially for those who don't have any other modes of transportation around the county. Thank you again, Steven R Smith

Some older folks, poor people and people with disabilities need this service. Why do you have to be so cruel and heartless? Can't get it up any more? Wife left you cuz you're so cruel? Or is it that you are just a selfish prick?

The families that produced these people you speak of should be taking care of them. If you want to take care of them fine, but the average taxpayer should not have to. Do you donate to churches or other groups that help them since you care soo much.

Why don't you two concerned posters drive the 3 or 4 people seen on all these busses?

Why should they shut it down, just because YOU don't use it?
Sounds like people who don't have their own transportation need it and use it.
The world doesn't revolve around you and your needs.
Try looking at the big picture and not just the tiny little world around you.

You do understand Murphys' folks are boycotting the hotel because of the owner's insistence that masks are unnecessary and COVID has been over hyped? Why on earth would you choose this kitchen to deliver your fundraiser?

No, I expect the opposite of a Karen. Someone who actually cares about the well-being of the greater community instead of their selfish self.

I find it difficult to eat food wearing a mask. And now studies have shown they really don't work. Something tells me you just have a grudge with the hotel or you'd be doing your usual snivelling about other businesses cater to the public. It's not like anything inside is open to the public.
I can only guess why you whine, 86ed or ...?
