Hot August Days & Nights Through at Least Wednesday as Weather Service Extends Heat Warning!

Arnold, CA...The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued an Excessive Heat Warning starting today and extending through at least Wednesday of next week. Please take care to stay hydrated and safe and to all of our new part and full time residents. The real ugly and dangerous portion of our fire season is now through October and even into November or until we get our first soaking rain. Remember the horrific Paradise Fire? The season ending wetting rain came only three days after that fire destroyed the town and took so many lives. All of our lives can change in an instant so please be careful. Sometimes we all hear fire safety and tune it out. Please don't as the next three months are critical especially this year as thanks COVID-19 as we are thankful we have thousands of new people here as it helps our economy and please help us get through this fire season campaign fire free. All the scorching weather details are below...

No thanks to Covid or Donald Trump. He's killed 160,000 Americans with his negligence and what will probably be 300,000 by year's end. Screw Trump!

With Democrat mayor's and governor's don't count on it. Governor Newsom is so confused right now he's clueless. Opens up the states businesses, then closes them but let's people go wherever. That's why we now have well over a hundred cases and those numbers will sky rocket since we get all those tourist from those big city fascist mayor's and our governor. Our Governor, some of the highest taxes in the nation and not a penny in the bank.
Unbelievably stupid, mismanagement, and he still doesn't get it.
I'm just hoping my family will want to leave this once great state that the dems have wrecked by their incompetence. Leave before I retire and withdrawal from my retirement funds. Having a pension and I'll get SS, I can wait and don't really need to use it, homes paid off. I just don't want to let Calif get tax money from my 401k, they'd just spend it unwisely and in their toxic cities.

Why do you sound so hostile? If I remember right your, our, President tried to stop all flights from the Providence of Wuhan in late January. Yet all the Democrats and liberals screamed he was a racist and xenophobe. Biden, Pelosi, the Media. Biden said he wouldn't of. Biden would of killed tens of thousands more. Problem is, your democrats were too busy trying to oust the president and didn't even know what was going on. Pelosi was telling you folks, come to Chinatown there's nothing to fear. Sounds like another one of your heros said that in New York where the most deaths in America occured.
You Facist have tunnel vision seeing only a tiny tiny piece of the picture. It's no wonder your party can manipulate you so easily.

Travel bans make intuitive sense, because travel obviously enables the spread of a virus. But in practice, travel bans are woefully inefficient at restricting either travel or viruses. They prompt people to seek indirect routes via third-party countries, or to deliberately hide their symptoms. They are often porous: Trump’s included numerous exceptions, and allowed tens of thousands of people to enter from China. Ironically, they create travel: When Trump later announced a ban on flights from continental Europe, a surge of travelers packed America’s airports in a rush to beat the incoming restrictions. Travel bans may sometimes work for remote island nations, but in general they can only delay the spread of an epidemic—not stop it. And they can create a harmful false confidence, so countries “rely on bans to the exclusion of the things they actually need to do—testing, tracing, building up the health system,” says Thomas Bollyky, a global-health expert at the Council on Foreign Relations. “That sounds an awful lot like what happened in the U.S.”

How did it come to this? A virus a thousand times smaller than a dust mote has humbled and humiliated the planet’s most powerful nation. America has failed to protect its people, leaving them with illness and financial ruin. It has lost its status as a global leader. It has careened between inaction and ineptitude. The breadth and magnitude of its errors are difficult, in the moment, to truly fathom.

In the first half of 2020, SARS‑CoV‑2—the new coronavirus behind the disease COVID‑19—infected 10 million people around the world and killed about half a million. But few countries have been as severely hit as the United States, which has just 4 percent of the world’s population but a quarter of its confirmed COVID‑19 cases and deaths. These numbers are estimates. The actual toll, though undoubtedly higher, is unknown, because the richest country in the world still lacks sufficient testing to accurately count its sick citizens.

Despite ample warning, the U.S. squandered every possible opportunity to control the coronavirus. And despite its considerable advantages—immense resources, biomedical might, scientific expertise—it floundered. While countries as different as South Korea, Thailand, Iceland, Slovakia, and Australia acted decisively to bend the curve of infections downward, the U.S. achieved merely a plateau in the spring, which changed to an appalling upward slope in the summer. “The U.S. fundamentally failed in ways that were worse than I ever could have imagined,” says Julia Marcus, an infectious-disease epidemiologist at Harvard Medical School.

Since the early infections came to the East Coast of the US, Trump's banning travelers from Wuhan had little effect.
US citizens were still able to get into our country from Wuhan and the rest of China.
Trump's claims of the virus being a hoax is what led to many of the problems we now face.
Blaming democrats is not what this should be.
      Look at the top.
The lack of a real leader is what caused this mess.

Why are you here in California talking about the East coast? We have the largest population of Chinese outside of China right here. They travel back and forth to China. Many illegal and pregnant to create anchor babies. California was ground zero for the virus in America. The truth is being hidden from us, the media corrupt and controlling. We, our state, our leadership here, are the biggest problem to everyone else in the U.S.A.

And the Chinese on the West Coast did not spread the virus due to Newsom closing CA.
Infections in NY and NJ were from visitors and citizens coming in through Europe.
East Coast hit hardest in April and May.

I certainly hope they are all being billed for all the irresponsible decisions resulting in excessive medical aids, rescues, fires, vehicle accidents, drunk driving, etc. Local residents should not be taxed for all the strife they bring here.
