Calaveras County to Open Cooling Centers Over the Weekend

San Andreas, CA...The Calaveras County Health and Human Services Agency, Public Health Division has issued a heat advisory due to extreme heat for an extended period. Cooling centers will be open to the public on Saturday, August 15, 2020 and Sunday, August 16, 2020, from 10AM to 6PM at the following locations in the county where the heat will be most extreme: Valley Springs, Jenny Lind Elementary School, 5100 Driver Road, Valley Springs, CA 95252. Angels Camp, Bret Harte High School 364 Murphy’s Grade Road Angels Camp, CA 95221. Copperopolis, Copperopolis Armory 695 Main Street, Copperopolis, CA 95228. San Andreas, San Andreas Library, 1299 Gold Hunter Road, San Andreas, CA 95249

Future dates for cooling centers in Calaveras County will be announced once details are confirmed. Cooling centers will comply with state guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Face coverings will be required.

Calaveras Public Health urges people to remain vigilant about the prevention of COVID-19 transmission during this heat warning.

The best ways to avoid exposure to the virus are to:
 Stay home if you are sick
 Stay at least 6 feet away from people outside of your household
 Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
 Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
 Wear a face covering over your nose and mouth when around others

For more information about prevention and signs of heat-related illness, call Public Health at 209-754-6460 or visit www.facebook.com/calaveraspublichealth.

No they won't, and we will encourage everyone to cough heavily into the air-conditioning filters before entering so their lungs are clear.
Any other questions from the dumbacrats? 🙄

I don't need a cooling center, i'm cool enough just as I am.

If it gets too hot you can always go to Natural Bridges and swim in human excrement.

            Thanks, Dennis Mills.
