Hawg Heaven...The County Was Hoppin wth Hawgs By ~ John Hamilton
Murphys, CA...Murphys and the Murphys Hotel was once again the center of the local Harley Davidson Universe last weekend. We spoke with a tired but satisfied Murphys Hotel owner Dorian Faught late last Saturday afternoon and he mentioned they had already had over a thousand customers during Saturday alone. This didn't even take in the 200 plus bikers from the Top Hatters Motorcycle Club that were in town for a Poker Run...
   
If you were out and about you couldn't help but notice that seemingly every hotel, restaurant and more were filled with vehicles of the two wheel variety. From Mikes Pizza in Angels Camp to the Hawgs lining Downtown Angels Camp and the entire town of Murphys that becomes Biker heaven for one weekend every May.
Several business owners we spoke with mentioned that they had a very good weekend. One even said that the bikers as a group spend more in her store than anyone else.
