CCWD Ebbetts Pass Phased Shutdown & Pipeline Switch for Reach 1 Project Schedule for October

San Andreas, CA...The construction project to replace the main water transmission pipeline between Avery and Murphys is nearly complete.  The critical transition to the new pipeline will occur gradually over the next couple of weeks.  CCWD is limiting the number of customers impacted by this transition to the extent possible, but a series of planned shutdowns of the water system is unavoidable.  This notice is to inform you that your water service will be impacted by this transition.

Click Above for Larger Version

Each shut down will start no earlier than 8:00 in the morning.  We expect the shutdowns to last less than eight hours and we will do everything we can to limit their duration.  Once water service is restored, your water will be delivered through the new pipeline.  The new pipeline has been thoroughly disinfected and flushed.  Water quality will be tested and verified prior to bringing it into service, so we do not anticipate a boil water advisory once service is restored.

CCWD and its contractor, Mozingo, have established the schedule shown below, which includes a general description of the affected area.  Pre-recorded phone calls and text messages will provide date-specific notice to the phone number associated with the customer accounts.  Landlords should be sure to pass updates on to their tenants.  Dates may change if circumstances change, but no new door tags will be delivered so please watch for the phone messages or you can get up-to-date information by visiting CCWD.org, the CCWD Facebook page, or calling customer service at (209) 754-3543.
