Thank You For A Great Season! ~ From The CalaverasGROWN Farmers' Market
San Andreas, CA... Our CalaverasGROWN Farmers’ Markets have come to a close and we’d like to send a great big THANK YOU to everyone who helped make them successful. Whether you were a vendor, shopper, Master Gardener, board member or volunteer - this means YOU!

We are fortunate to have the participation of many talented farmers, ranchers, specialty food vendors and artisans whose products are raised or made locally with great care and always top quality. Our thanks go out to all who work so very hard bringing healthy food and beautiful goods to our community. But without loyal shoppers, we’d have no market. Our farmers and other vendors always say how nice the people who shop at our markets are. Please know that your support is greatly appreciated and crucial to our continued success.
Thanks to our market managers Micalah Frey and Odile Morrison who work behind the scenes managing every detail and Michele Rugo for advertising and social media. Thank you to the communities of Murphys and San Andreas where our outdoor markets are held. We are especially grateful to the Murphys Community Park board and the Calaveras Master Gardeners for making these locations work so well for our vendors.
Our gratitude to the Mark Twain Health Care District for funding the Market Bucks program that increases access to and availability of locally grown fruits and vegetables, supporting farmers and invigorating the local economy. Thanks also to the Ecology Center for the Market Match grant that allows us to match EBT purchases of fresh fruits and vegetables. This year we also saw the launch of our Mother Lode Gold currency which stretches the buying power of local consumers even further.
Again, thank you to everyone who took part – it takes a great community to make a great market and we have that in you!
P.S. - Our mobile online market remains open all year long featuring many of the terrific producers you’ve already come to know, with pick up locations in Angels Camp, Jackson, Mokelumne Hill, Murphys, San Andreas and Valley Springs. Please visit CalaverasGROWN.org for more information.

WHAT? A recall in Pa. starting to look like democrats are going to get caught in a bunch of voter fraud! Watch the news, this isn’t over yet! Crooked, lieing and cheating thieves. Democrats should be ashamed of themselves. Hopefully a full and honest recount is successful. Let the story be told....

Nope. Another count dismissed. But please do stick to the point and support local business. Trump will do just fine without you. Years of lawsuits yet to pursue.

Ashamed of ourselves? Give us a break, why should we be ashamed if you can't prove it? Your problem is we cheat better then you, practice makes perfect you know.

How lucky are we to have this group working to support our local farmers, ranchers and artisans. Thank you, Pine Tree, for helping to publicize.

Such a beautiful, happy group. The markets in San Andreas and Murphys have brought so very much to our community. It's like we're Napa and still the little towns that we are. :)

Why would you say something like that? Many here have been growing their food and herbal medicine forever. We are nothing like the elitist you speak of.

Only meant that we have the opportunity to buy such beautiful produce and goods if one is not able to actually farm or ranch.

Look at these people and see how the lives they actually live shine through. We should all look so good. Eat your veggies!

Agree with poster - clean living and raising your own food. Too many of us have moved too far from that.

I'm not a pig, bytch. Women love having their partner go down on them. Remember the days when you weren't old and drier then last year's dog bone? Oh, well maybe your "partner" was working all the time instead of being stuck home with his pride from hell.
Would you like to buy a zucchini and a quart of heavy duty 30w?

But who puts that in print, knowing that people of all ages are reading this? Keep it up and John will either eliminate commentary or require you to show your name when posting.

^ This. Black and white thinking and no room for anything but ranching and how we've always done things. And why Calaveras will always remain a poor community.

Congrats on your success. It's a shame that some have to tear down. Such a great thing to have locally grown or created produce or goods created locally, supporting local small businesses as well as bringing fresh produce and beautiful things to our county. Thank you!

Thanks for reporting on good news, hoping this endeavor grows and gets bigger with more locations in Calaveras County.
It’s a labor of love to produce homemade goods and food. Wishing all these people success Ana more happiness
