The Avery Community Christmas Tree Welcomes the Holidays

Avery, CA...Santa may be social distancing a few more weeks at the North Pole but the Avery Community is doing their part to bring the holiday spirit to our area. You know the holidays are here when you round the corner coming up the hill and the Avery Christmas tree fills your view.

It looks like a bell not a tree.

So beautiful....

I just love coming home, on the way up Highway 4, and the initial surprise of seeing the very top lit up. What a heart-lifting sight, rounding that last corner and seeing the big tree in all of it’s Christmas glory. So many precious memories, especially of my little ones oooooh-ing and awwwww-ing as the colored lights glow on their little faces in the backseat of our old car. I’ve stood near it, drinking hot chocolate out of a steaming paper cup, watching my youngest try to escape and run under the tree, arms cartwheeling in the air, screaming with glee. The tree is really a sight with a little dusting of fresh snow-the lights are encased in a glowing crust of ice, and the whole tree is reflected off of the white ground. I’m so glad to see our old friend this year. Thank God the beetles haven’t gotten to it (this year, anyway). May The Big Universe/God/all of us bless the folks that make the tree lighting possible every year. I’ve lived here almost all of my life, and I hope to never grow tired of the sight of the Avery Christmas Tree. Many good wishes to everyone reading this!

The comment above mine is probably by far the best post on Pine Tree this year by far. May You have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
There's no need to say may God bless you because I see he already has.

Interesting how a tree can symbolize how the community can come together.
      American flag.
      Statue of Liberty.
These symbols use to mean something.
Time for us to come together.

Hey there's some strings of lights not working. Cut the tree down for fire wood.

Statue of Liberty, American Flag has and always will mean something to this Veteran. And soon no worries they should mean something to most of us because the Kingdom has fallen.
