What's going on over at Government Center? Why isn't Calaveras County releasing covid statistics to the public any longer? You supervisors need to get off your collective asses and do your jobs.

How right you are. The Supervisors and the Sheriff don't give a damn about the citizens. The county Health Director quit because of lack of support. Need I say more.

Any employees who feel their workplace isn’t following COVID restrictions can file a complaint with Cal OSHA:

People are going out of the county for testing and care, thus the numbers will not be so quickly returned.

Possibly so, as it is thought you can get it over and over with some having long term infection. It could just keep damaging organs until your body eventually fails.

Excuse me, are we all now supposed to think when you say so? This is the PineTree. What has this to do with intelligent dialogue?

Do you guys understand that there will be zero ICU beds in Northern California in the next few weeks? Actually they are predicted to be 112% full. That's not for covid treatment, that's for ANYTHING. Don't crash, or fall, or have a heart attack.

Do you get it? If you get in a car accident, there will be no hospital to help you. No doctor, no life saving surgery. No help.

    No, some don't understand.
If you believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy, this covid thing won't intrude in my life.
Those that don't wear a mask affect everyone, but they don't care about you and me.
Pretty simple. Selfish people have been around since the beginning.
Anti mask. Anti vaxxer. Second hand smoke. Drinking and driving. Litterbugs. Red light runners. Speeders.
    The list is endless.

Do you get it? Health care workers were quitting when this virus hit the first time. It should not be too hard for you to understand that they are just people too that would like to live a long life. Ultimately they are risking their own lives for the majority that could care less about others or the greater good. There is a shortage of workers in the profession. Would you risk your life doing what they do?

If you look at the big picture of who is getting infected this is not so bad. Loosing those who refuse knowledge, or to error on the safe side do not value their own lives or the lives of others. Their seemingly, simple existence is a bane to society as a whole. Aside from health care workers and elderly trapped in group homes, those coming down with the virus today have made their own choices to possibly ending their life. Who wants to risk their lives to save such people?

I'm very sorry that I mindlessly forgot our essential workers such as our grocery store workers and others in my above post. Thank you so much to all you individuals that have helped the rest of us to get through this so far.

Speaking of forgetting, the stress of all this unknown and upset to life is taking a toll on many of us, myself included. I found the article below helpful, I hope you do too.
