Changes to State Vaccination Plan Affect More Than 10,000 Calaveras Residents
San Andreas, CA...Today, Governor Newsom announced that the state is modifying the state vaccination plan to move all people age 65 and older into Phase 1B, Tier 1. This represents more than 10,000 residents within Calaveras County, not including other categories of people that would also be included in Phase 1B.
As of today, Calaveras County Public Health only has a few hundred vaccine doses available within Calaveras County. We are only scheduled to receive 100 more doses next week. While we appreciate the state’s shared interest in vaccinating our most vulnerable populations, the unfortunate reality is that the state has not sent us sufficient supply to vaccinate our community members. We hope that changes soon and promise to continue communicating with our community when we are able to begin scheduling vaccination clinics.

Ditto! Yes! We still need to wear our masks and observe all other guidelines, especially social distancing. I just found out that a good friend of mine got it and she was following all the guidelines-wearing a mask, etc. However, her 2 co-workers or her underlings (she's a supervisor) refused to wear their masks since last March and they all work for a public school district and also in close quarters. Shame on the higher-ups-administrators, for not "pushing the issue." School administrators: You need to do your jobs!

All of a sudden the immunization age gas dropped 10 yrs. in one week, sadly enough age means nothing, there isn’t enough vaccine, so that promise is more less a wish list he can’t keep! By the way incarcerated people are in line before 64 yr. olds and less. Can you believe that? He is opening resturants in Sacramento for outside dining, the recall is getting a little warm, eh? Those poor resturant owners don’t know whether to *bleep* or go blind, one day we are open, tomorrow we are closed. So Gavy, your leadership sucks, and I hope we get rid of your pathetic being, point in case, the homeless problem in this state is out of control, your we’re mayor of SF, and you did nothing then and it has gotten worse under your lack of leadership!

OF course I can believe incarcerated are in line before 64-year-olds. Thank God. We're custodians of their health. And we can't provide the opportunity for them to the social distance while incarcerated. I'm 62...and I can wear a mask and stay 6' away from the person ahead of me at ACE.
What sort of horrible human are to suggest otherwise?
And stop spreading lies about a lack of vaccine. We can all see on the CDC that there is still 63% of CA's vaccine supply undistributed.

No one knows what kind of side effects that this vaccine has. I would have second thoughts on receiving it. I will wait until most people receive the vaccine to see what kind of long term effects it has on the body.
