30" long pipe and a vicious dog? The dog is a great thing to have, vicious I don't know about. We have dogs, if they bark "aggressively" though they are not, we know someone is here. I don't have a 30"pipe, I have several 9mm loaded with hollow points very close by.

New home? I've been living here at the same place for quite some time. I'm and ex felon so I can't have a gun. My roommate is the one who has a piece. Our dog barks too and that's warning enough plus we have our own neighborhood watch. We all watch out for each other.
