FIRE NEWS.....15 Acre Vegetation Fire at Parrots Ferry & Natural Bridges on Friday Eve....Video Now Enclosed for Your Viewing Pleasure
Vallecito, CA.....There is a 5 acre vegetation fire burning at Parrotts Ferry Road and Natural Bridges. Parrots Ferry Road is closed to through traffic. More to come.....UPDATE #1.. Now has spread to 10 acres in size. Personnel are saying it is spreading up hill into the canyon due to the winds. Units from out of County and CDF are on scene. No structures involved. Both sides of Parrots Ferry are involved. Continued UPDATES Enclosed....

ThePineTree is on scene now so will keep you updated. UPDATE #2...All Emergency Personnel are staged at Moaning Caverns. The Fire is continuing to spread slowly to more vegetation. Update #3....According to CAL Fire they feel they are getting the upper hand on it. No Full containment as of yet. UPDATE #3...There are currently 4 Air Tankers(2 Large and 2 Small) along with other multiple equipment on scene. The first Air Tanker just did it's first drop. The East side of Parrots Ferry has been contained. The side near Natural Bridges is still burning. UPDATE #4 7:04pm....Now 15 acres in size. There is still one hot spot down in the canyon. Water Tenders from EPFD and Altaville Melones have also been called in to assist. No Full Containment as of yet per CDF but it looks like it is getting closer.(7:31pm). UPDATE #5....Near Containment. Air Assets have been called off. Parrots Ferry Road is reopening at this time 7:50pm and the fire is contained.
