500,000 Working California Families Still Need to Apply for $220 Million in Tax Credits

Los Angeles, CA... While the tax filing deadline has passed, an estimated 500,000 working families in California are still eligible to apply for the $220 million in tax credits available to them from the State of California through the California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC) and Golden State Stimulus (GSS).

United Ways of California and local partners are helping to make sure families who are eligible receive as much as $4,200 from the two programs.

“It’s not too late for thousands of California working families to apply for the California Earned Income Tax Credit and the Golden State Stimulus programs and put more money in their pockets and support their families,” said Nalleli Sandoval, Senior Director of Programs at United Ways of California. “The two programs can provide critical support to low-wage workers and families hit hard by the pandemic, especially communities of color. We encourage people to apply for the programs to receive the funds that can make a life-saving difference.”

GSS is a one-time payment of $600 or $1,200 per tax return that is available to families who have an individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN) filer earning up to $75,000, while the the CalEITC ranges from $243 to just over $3,000 and is available to families with incomes up to $30,000. Eligible families can apply for GSS by October 15 while those eligible for CalEITC can apply and receive funds from up to four  years later.

While the California Franchise Tax Board estimates more than 4 million taxpayers are eligible to receive CalEITC for the 2020 tax year, 3.5 million have applied through May 15 and received tax refunds totaling nearly $590 million. Meanwhile, there are about nearly one million people in California who earn less than $30,000 per year and are eligible for the Golden State Stimulus this year, who can still apply for the two programs to put more money into their pockets.

Californians who had an income of less than $66,000 in 2020 are eligible for free filing through myfreetaxes.org, where they can find a free tax filing site near them. Individuals and families who are applying with a federally issued Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) can find support through the ITIN guide, should their ITINs have expired and they need assistance renewing or getting one.

Biden is on his knees swallowing Putin

"President Biden and his allies raked in campaign cash from a top Russia lobbyist in 2020, just months before his administration’s decision to scrap sanctions on a controversial firm building a Russian oil pipeline to Germany.

Richard Burt, a managing partner at McLarty Associates and a former U.S. ambassador to Germany during the Reagan administration, ponied up $4,000 for Joe Biden in October 2020 and dropped another $10,000 in the lefty-aligned political action committee Unite The County in March 2020, FEC records show"

And how do you make a former ambassador to Germany into a Russian lobbyist?
He is an American citizen and can give any money he wants to any group, just like you.

A fake petition to cancel Memorial Day
Posted on: 2021-05-29 12:56:36   By: Anonymous

To all the brave men and women of our Armed Forces, Thank You for your courage and serving your country. That goes also to our LEO.
This below is the sadness that has been sweeping across our country, and it's embraced much more by the left I'm sad to say. I'm not saying all, but a much higher percentage by leaps and bounds.

This is how many of our ignorant young people think today, the woke, cancel culture, and the kid in college, unbelievable stupidity.
Sorry to say but the US is descending from a Super Power, China ascending, and I hope our politicians don't kill a hundred million Americans in the process.

Students and other people walking around the Georgetown area of Washington, D.C., signed a fake petition ahead of Memorial Day to ban the holiday honoring fallen military service members.

The petition, authored by Campus Reform, a conservative news site and higher-education watchdog, calls for support to ban Memorial Day in the U.S. for glorifying "American Imperialism." Campus Reform reporter Addison Smith interviewed those who signed the petition in a video published on the outlet's website.

Fox Nation contributor and retired Marine bomb technician Joey Jones told "Fox & Friends Weekend" on Saturday that one of the young men in the video appeared to be about the same age as he was when he fought in his first war.

"Have you ever seen the movie ‘Frozen’? I've got a 2-year-old daughter. I watch it a lot more than I want to," Jones said, making an analogy. "There's a snowman in the movie ‘Frozen,' and he's so stupid and ignorant to the world around him, he can't wait until summer. He sings a whole song about summer, and he's a snowman."

Jones said the U.S. Marine Corps represents the protections the military provides the county that, adding that the only thing keeping the snowman from melting is a "Disney princess… and a cloud of snowflakes."

In the Campus Reform video, one young man told Smith that he thinks Memorial Day is "a celebration of U.S. imperialism and colonialism."

"It's not an attack on any individual but more of a system," he explained.

Later, when asked to expand on his thoughts about imperialism, the young man says: "I didn't really think in this way until I went to college and I took women's and gender studies classes and that put me on this path where I'm like, yeah, f--k the U.S."

"For me, I was on this spirituality-type journey where we're all one or whatever and what I was learning in social justice was the material analysis I needed to practice what I feel like exists on a spiritual plane in real, everyday life."

He then says "yes, please," when asked whether he'd want to completely abolish the U.S. military.

A young woman said she thinks Memorial Day "represents a lot of negative aspects of America and highlights something that people shouldn't necessarily be proud of."

"If we're going to honor and celebrate the dead, I think it should be those who lost their lives to genocide in America," she said.

Several other people signed the fake petition and told Smith they did not know what the U.S. celebrates Memorial Day.

One woman declined to sign the petition because she did not want to have one of her "bank holidays" revoked, adding that the holiday should instead be rebranded as "something else" that celebrates "something worthwhile instead of imperialism."

      Thank you for your service.
What Mr. Jones doesn't say is how many students he had to ask to sign the petition. Also, how many students declined and were shocked at the lack of patriotic substance that the petition didn't display.
Jesse Watters spent much of his career doing the same thing. Trying to get dumb people to say or do something stupid to the Fox viewer.
