Jon G. Morotti 1955 - 2021

Sonora, CA... Jon G. Morotti 5/20/1955 - 6/7/2021. Jon George Morotti was born in Stockton, California on May 20, 1955, to David B. Morotti and Jeannette Gould. The youngest son of two, John graduated from St. Luke’s Elementary School and St. Mary’s High School in 1973 in Stockton, California.

Jon first moved to the Sonora area as a young man and lived in several local towns. After acquiring his general contractors license, Jon built homes throughout the Sonora area with Morotti Construction. Jon built his own first home in Twain Harte after he logged and milled the lumber. Jon was also the Project Manager for the Central California Indian Housing Authority for over 14 years where he build homes on reservations across central California.

Jon was passionate about his many friends and treated them as his own family. His love of the beach and Aptos in particular are fond remembrances from a life filled with love and laughter. Jon enjoyed travel with friends and family to his Puerto Vallarta, Mexico beachside condo. Jon was a compassionate and humorous man with a very strong work ethic that defined him for many years.

Jon is survived by his wife Addie Buck; his brother Bruce Morotti; his daughter Cara Morotti (Beau Banks) and grandchild Brent; and niece and Goddaughter Alexandra Seals.

A celebration of life for Jon will be announced at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Sierra Cremation & Burial Service. www.sierracremationservice.com
